Hi Is it possible to keep the log book in someone else's name, and the insurance on someone else ? Or do they both have to 'match' ? Thanks in advance.

I just found a brand new one that we have and do not need! Seems to me I saw a post not too long ago from someone looking for this one instead of the downloadable version. If that's you, send me a PM, and if you still need one, I'll mail it to you. Otherwise, if anyone else uses these and would like an extra, let me know!

Ive seen slaughtered cars for repair and cars barely worthy of 'D' classification with destruction orders on. I own a car that needed a bumper and a panel repair which has been classified as a 'C'. It was going to be a 'D' until the owner dug his heels in for retention and a decent settlement.....

I do record warm ups and cool downs, of course! All my rows I record on Rowpro and interval metres if they're set as 'stop' aren't recorded in any case.

there are quite legitimate reasons for this as welll as dodgy ones. i've had company cars registered in the company's name but with my name on the insurance. i also once had a contract hire vehicle for 3 years and never had sight of the registration document, but insured the vehicle on my own policy.

I'm no expert, but what happens if you re-register the car with a 'vanity' plate? can LBL still trace the car? I know you can easily get a cheap new reg, I think the total cost is around £250 for the entire process including the cheapest reg you can find from DVLA. Or have I missed something? Sounds as if even a full body respray in a different colour would be cheaper than paying back LBL...

Linda in Wichita Falls, Texas said: We drive a Ford 250 and pull a 14 foot trailer. We were pulled over in New Mexico and cited for no log book. My boyfriend has pulled this trailer for the last 16 yrs and has never been aware of needing a log book. GVW 13,500 lbs. Are we in violation of the law? If so where can I find information on the current laws? We are Texas residents. If ...
