My bedroom has a locking door handle on it and somehow the lock has broken and although the key turns in the lock the door still won't open. I dont want to break the door open and neither can I afford £80 for a locksmith who'll probably be able to open the door in less than a minute. I found my 1-yr-old tinkering with my PC notebook and she did something to it that I cannot access my desktop or files. The cursor is frozen. I created another user account (using my keyboard) and there I found the cursor works just fine. What is the problem and how do I regain access to my original user account? Pretty sure this is where I should put this. My IBM Thinkpad A22m(yes I know it's old) requires a password on start-up, but I have never set one. Whenever I try to do anything when I start up it requires a password. I tryed all of the default passwords I could find, none worked. Is my laptop useless now?
