Around 9:00 this morning I heard a radiocheck on 162.7375 with the tone of 167.9. I'm about 50 miles away from the rock but was getting 1 bar of signal.

In a couple of weeks I'm gonna be driving a U-Haul truck from St. Louis to San Antonio, TX. Based on my calculations, we should be stopping somewhere between Little Rock and Texarkana. What town do you recommend for us to stop to spend the night and nobody will mess with our U-haul truck or our cars. Any towns that I should avoid? BTW, I'm darkskin hispanic (look a little like Obama) ...

I'm thinking of making another trip to the zoo sometime this week and I'd like to know what you guys think I need to do to make my zoo pictures better. These are from March of this year. Thanks! Oh, and if it helps, I only have my two kit lenses.

Nice images, good starting point. I have found using the "rule of thirds" helps a lot at the zoo. Set yourself so the image shows the animal looking at something, and use the eyes as the main focus point. The orang pic is close - do you get a different feel from that compared to the others?
