hi there was a video on insider secrets about how to use your old linksys wrt45g router as a wireless network adapter but installing third party firmware however that was for versions of the router 1-4 i bout this router a few years ago and its version 6 any solution for that?

I currently have a Linksys WRT54G wireless router, connected to my Linksys cable modem box. I get cable internet service through Comcast. It seems to work well but sometimes service is slow. I've heard good things about the AEBS. Is there any good reason to switch over to a AEBS? Will performance improve? I am interested in possibly having a networked printer. Does this work well ...

Στην σελιδα της Linksys σου δινει 3 image files για αντιστοιχα 3 Upgrades. Μολις μπεις στο router και πας για το Upgrade ξεκιναει κανονικα, απευθειας απο το rar file, μεσα στο οποιο βρισκεται το image, και στο 18% σταματαει, σε πεταει εκτος menu και το upgrade δεν γινεται ποτε...Καμμια ιδεα????

I am trying to set up a Linksys WRT54GX4 but when I go to the default IP (198.162.1.1) I get a network timeout page. I've reset the router but this did nothing, I've also tried to change the cables I plugged it in with. I'm using this router wired not wireless currently. PS. I'm on a Linksys router, wireless, and my internet is fairly laggy. There are two laptop computers in my house, and I play XBOX live on my 360, all over the same wireless connection. Is there anything I can do to either over-clock my internet or to simply make the connection quicker? Any suggestions or tutorials will be appreciated. - Chotton

I am running the Linksys WRT54GL with opensource firmware DD-WRT v24 SP1 and have the following on my network: 2 wired computers and 1 wireless laptop 2 XBOX 360's one wired and one wireless.. My problem is that when my oldest goes on with his wired XBOX, all computers timeout when trying to connect to any website. Where can I limit the bandwidth he pulls so as others can use...

Okay, I've been fighting all day with my new Linksys WMP54G v4.1 (Ralink RT61) and I don't get it any more. I want to bridge my wireless network to the wired interface on my desktop. So ... I am replacing my parents router (the DHCP server service keeps dying) & I bought a new Linksys WRT54G router (sadly, not the GL version). When I opened it up there were BIG RED STICKERS saying RUN CD!!! DO NOT INSTALL W/O RUNNING CD!!! So ... apparently, the CD installs this EasyLink Advisor.
