I read a lot about limp wristing causing malfunctions but have tried holding my G19 and a Colt Combat Commander in .38 Super as loose as possible and have not been able to induce a malfunction with either pistol. The G19 does throw the brass straight back at my face when held very loosely. I have let my Mom and my niece, who are both small women, fire the Glock and neither experienced a...

CaliColin I don't lose any sleep over the limpwristing phenomenom.I was just wondering why the first reply to someone who is experiencing malfunctions with a pistol is almost always "you are limpwristing" when I was unable to make 2 different pistols malfunction by trying to limpwrist, and two very small females who had never shot a pistol before did not have a problem either.

Other than internet reports, youtube videos also show this to be the case. Is everyone lying?

The slide of the Glock in the video looks "compensated" aka Magnaported. Less recoil plus that grip might replicate limp-wristing conditions.

I am consisently getting about 5 FTE for every 100 rounds in my new G36. I'd say I have about 600 rounds through it so far. Below are pics taken this morning. My question: is there something I may be doing wrong to cause this? Limp wrisitng? I shoot WWB 230 gr. FMJ. FWIW, I also shoot a G17 and G19 with no FTF (or anything else) with WWB range ammo. Thanks for your replies!

Yep one of my 5 mags had a weak spring I purchased my G36 in a trade. for me it that was it. since then no issues at all. I did call GLOCK and they were quick to tell me to check the mag spring. Also if that didn't do the trick to send it to them and they would fix it pronto and return it quick. GLock was very pro=active. My local had a mag spring so it was an easy fix. The G36 is prone to ...

I took my brand new sp2022 to the range the other day along with my girlfriend and her beretta px4 storm sub-compact. I am astonished by the amount of issues she was having which myself and the range officer concluded to be caused by limp wristing. Some of you may recall my recent post about grese causing jams. Well, I may have just found the real reason for the majority of those problems. For...

Jerry said it much better than I could. Ken quote: Originally posted by jljones: As I said in another post, I think the term "limp wristing" is a diagnosis that is waaaaayyyyyy overused. I think sometimes there is a lack mechanical and technical proficiency in diagnosing problems and people lump an otherwise mechanical, or technical problem into the catagory of "limp wristing". I think ...

... is that there wouldn't be adequate resistance to keep the frame from moving back, therefore not providing enough delta v between slide and frame. This could result from the frame moving backward during recoil, or the muzzle being allowed to rise uncontrolled during recoil, with the net resultant frame vector taking away from the necessary delta v. So whether you think her grip looks ...

Limp wristing has absolutely nothing to do with a shooter's masculinity or overall strength. I have seen 6'3" 250 pound male officers do it upon converting from wheels to semi-autos. Likewise, I have seen female officers who are 5'2" and weigh less than a 100 pounds never have it happen to them due to proper grip. BTW, most qual courses have close range, one-handed shooting, which is...

Citadel and Rock Island are made by the same people and are handled by Armscor of Pahrump, NV. I have both anboyh are good guns. My Bersa was very finicky about ammo and the slightest limp wristing. It's been sold.
