Licence Plate Light - Bulb Out Warning So my car beeped at me today and said my licence plate light was out. I drove for about a mile and it went out. When I parked, I checked and they are both on. I turned off the car and restarted it, and it still says the bulb is out... Any idea what to do? Is there a way to reset the ...

First of all, what a God awful design. The license plate lights on my 2000 DTS were burned out...or so I thought. After taking it apart, I noticed that just the connection between the bulb and the connector A.K.A. lamp housing was bad. After a bit of tweaking and bending of terminals (both on the bulb and the housing) I was able to get them to stay lit, but they are dim at times and are not ...

I got myself a sport bumper today. Paid $75 for chrome bumper with a little pitting. licence plate holder, and brackets. Its got a light for the licence plate, but where do I wire it to? Is there a factory wire anywhere I can wire into? My bumper sits farther out on one side (left side). Why is this, I crawled under the truck, brackets look the same on each side..

Hi folks, I have an odd problem with my 02 CLK 430. I seem to have a situation where my license plate bulb seems to burn out the fuse that's linked to my dash lights. Is this common? The dealership made me feel miserable like they didn't have a clue but would change out a computer for about $ 1000. Any ideas of what to do here? Can i just run a wire ...

I only need one, and I need just the plastic housing part. SLT model, so it should be coated in some sort of chrome. If you got a wrecked or old bumper laying around, you probably got some of these bad boys. Let me know if you have any!

I suggest you buy or borrow a multimeter to work out if there is a short in the system. If there is, then the next part will be to track down where the short is. __________________ "There are two tragedies in life. One is not getting what one wants, the other is getting it!"..Oscar Wilde.

Got to love those other LEDs with messing wiring, cost a fortune, and are using standard s-flex LEDs, and needs foam tape to be installed.... technology provides for better LEDs now, and in smaller, more conforming, pop-in packages. Not to mention the promises of premium quality with DOAs. We do not even use s-flux LEDs in our smallest least expensive bulbs. You guys are smarter than ...

I agree with you 100%. I had the same problem on mine as well. I also noticed that on mine, the connection was bad enough to cause arcing, and it partially melted/distorted the connector even more. If you find an LED replacement, please inform me.
