I created a SD DVD from anamorphic 16:9 source material. I created an anamorphic sequence in FCP and encoded it to a 16:9 m2v file, using Apple's High Quality 90 min DVD preset in Compressor. I just bought a MP4 player, primarily for playing mpeg2 videos. Mpeg2 recorded from DVB-S (satellite) is ok. But mpeg2 converted from AVI (by Super application) has out-of-sync sound. I am using Premier Elements 8 and am trying to edit and render video from my Panasonic SDR-18 video camera to my Apple TV for widescreen (no letterbox or window box) display, using a .mp4 container with h.264 video at 720x480-30p.
