Anyone else not planning on using special baby laundry detergent? I use either Sunlight free or Tide free for our regular detergent and am planning on using it for the baby's clothes as well. It's completely scent free and mild so I figure that it's ok to use. I used Ivory Snow with my other two kids when they were babies but really didn't like it. Any thoughts??? Thanks

Hi there We are expecting our first baby in March and are getting prepared etc. I was just wondering if you recommend the special baby detergents and what your experience with them is like? or would our regular detergent be ok? Thanks and I look forward to hearing from you!

Is the Purex Natural Elements laundry detergent any good?+++ It's really cheap for a "green" detergent so it seems to good to be true! It says it has natural cleaning agents & fragrances, etc.

This is a follow-up to a nesting thread. The instructions are cut and paste from the original email I received. The store it mentions, "Harris Teeter" is a local grocery store around here. Not all grocery stores carry the laundry bar soap so you do have to look around. Let me know if you have any questions! Adena Homemade Laundry Detergent Start with an old pot. I have an old one used ...

So I ordered some RG but have run out before my order has come. I really need to wash every day. What could I use in a pinch? Anything? We have no natural places here.(Think small town in the middle of nowhere!) Anything I may be able to get at a grocery store/Walmart? Or anything I may already have at home?
i use fels naptha in the batch as my shaved soap. i've ruined a few outfits from using this concoction on flannel clothing. i ruined a beautiful, good quality sweatshirt and one sweatshirt material jogging suit too; 'oil' stains are left on these type of clothes. so, i tell dh not to use the soap on any sweatshirt like material. i'm wearing a sweater today that has a telltale odor on it that ...

I am using Cheer free and clear, with Downy free and clear and Snuggles free and clear dryer sheets. It was all on sale and everything I washed came out nice and soft. I have allergies so I wanted to make sure that I used hypoallergenic detergent to at least start off with.
