At first I just did not really like the new laminated wood, it has grown on me over time.

I recall an article in Fine Woodworking magazine that was about an early type of laminated wood furniture. A museum had constructed a partial example of a chair using the methods of the factory that made such pieces. It wasn't "modern" furniture. I think it dated to the 1800's or early 1900's. It didn't have the streamlined 1930's look. Does anybody else recall this article? I haven't found...

Floors & Stairs/ Hallways & Foyers

I'm in a wheelchair and we told the contractor who built our addition not to install thresholds to make the floor as wheelchair friendly as possible. The installer left a jagged edge in the wood floor that butts up against the marble threshold piece to our master bathroom. He tried to fill it in with wood putty but it looks really bad. How can we fix this without installing a threshold to cover ...

.....prefer Walnut.......but cannot abide with a plasic stocked rifle. I hunted in the rain on Nov. 6 with a blued model 70 classic in a Walnut stock. It got real wet. Left it near the wood stove overnight with the action open. I will get around to wiping it down but it's fine....

I wouldn't mind having laminated wood furniture on a heavy barrel varmint rig AR but probably would stick to synthetic for a carbine. Sure does change the looks of those rifles in the pics though.

Did he use self bows, or was he also using laminated wood bows for those speeds? He was using 'boo-backed, wasn't he? Those speeds do not surprise me with 'boo backing and a light reflex. I like my fiberglass enhanced longbows too... but, the all natural materials do put a bigger grin on my mug.

Mine can go anywhere except my desk. I do not prepare food here at all and the kitchen counter is the only place the catfood is safe from the dog. My stove top is covered with a laminated wood stove top cover. My parrot cage sits on (and takes up the entirety of) the dinning table, so obviously they can't go there without losing a paw, eye, or tail
