I am interested in analyzing an microphone input signal in Labview.  I have read that you can use a DAQ board to do this. I am wondering if it is possible to put the signal directly into labview (without using a DAQ board); by just using the 2.5mm jack on the computer, can you get a voltage that can then be fed into Labview for analyzation. Thank you Jen

I developped a small application with 3D picture (LV86 -Windows VISTA).  Today, I opened the VI and when the mouse pointer moved over the front panel, LabVIEW closes.  I re-opened LabVIEW and the VI and when I did a left click everywhere (over the front panel or outside), LabVIEW closes.  I tried with LV2009 (same computer) and I have the same problem. I tried with solarsystem.vi (LV86 ...

Each time labview 8.6 crashes after I selected the simulate signal function. I get an error message about ivanlyss.dll. The message is in Dutch and it's hard for me to translate but there seems to be a problem initializing the dll file.   I asked a collegue to send me a vi containing simulate signal and the same thing happened: labview crashed.
