hi all. a brief background. i bled my brakes and it was doing fine for 2 months now. then lately i went on a long trip and maybe was braking aggressively. when i got home my brakes felt spongy. checked around and couldnt find any visual leaks. so i tried adjusting lspv height and checked its boot since thats the last thing i havent checked. and i found out that my lspv is frozen but without any ...

Does anyone know how to bypass the load sensing proportioning valve on my 93 FZJ80? That's what I call the piece attached to the rear axle that adjusts the brake fluid pressure to the rear calipers depending on how heavy the load is. It has two lines coming in and one coming out. All the other ones I have dealt with just have an in and an out. Those were easy. I need some guidance on this one ...

I have a '91 FJ80, and experienced squishy weak brakes after replacing my knuckle. I bled the brakes to death, then replaced the master cylinder, got shot in the eyes with brake fluid, bled for a few more hours... all to find out that my LSVP needs to be replaced. I see that you can bypass the LSVP, if anyone can help explain or show me pictures, I would appreciate it! Cody

Doing brake job on the subject vehicle. Replaced the front pads and bled front brakes. Although the brakes operate well there is still considerable free play on the brake pedal. Do I take up the play with the push rod? Does this car have a LSPV fitting? Thank you, Seamus J. Wilson

As far as I know, there is one hydraulic brake line leading to the rear of the vehicle that enters the lspv where it sends a line to each rear disc. My plan is to connect both of the cutting brake lines into this single rear brake line before it reaches the lspv. From there, I will run a line from each cutting brake to each rear disc. I don't know if bypassing the lspv like this will cause ...

I just finished up the head and haven't fired it up yet but I will have started soon. The LSPV needs to be changed and I have one. The last item is it has back fee's. I have a lot invested in this truck and I'm taking a loss at this price but I have lost interest ...

yeah, after getting the rear brakes adjusted properly the pedal is really squishy and its almost like the rear brakes are non existent. it does a pretty strong nosedive if i stop quickly. first step toward fixing it is going to be the new master cylinder and proportioning valve to replace the lspv. the master cylinders are cheap enough from O'Reillys that i might just try both and see what ...
