I'm curious. Is there an audible difference between headers? I was thinking about getting a pair of ceramic coated pacesetters. On the Texas speed website, they mention something about being constructed with "25% more material then budget headers". What does this mean in terms of audibility?

Ok, I am a mechanic and i own a 2000 24 valve, that i absolutely love. I just got a chance to work on a 1997 12 valve, the 12 valve seems much quieter, and not a clacky as my 24 valve, is this normal, the 12 valve has 121000 miles on it and my 24 valve has 145000 miles on it, i just dont know if my truck is supposed to be as loud as it is, any input would be greatly appreciated. Thanks,...

Something I've learned from this forum is that if a vinyl was pressed with a brickwalled mastering, the needle would jump the grooves. I've read, however, that there are albums out there that use the CD Mastering. My question is: (only counting albums since the loudness war began) what LPs out there have the same mastering as the CD, and do they sound any different because they're on vinyl...

I just want to know if compression means that when you open a wav file in a wave editor you see an almost square block of sound. Or perhaps I should say no peaks just 1 line. What is meant by a loud cd? Is it possible to see compression using a computer program and a wav file? If so what program would that be. Also the same question about loudness. In most cases I trust my own ...

Hi, As far as I remember, there was once a loudness bar in the volume control in Windows 98. It show the loudness strength as the volume change. But this is not available in Windows XP. Does anyone know how to show it up in Windows XP? ( Refer to the red region of below picture: [ My Pictures (1)] http://pub42.bravenet....

Ok - I was screwing around... and upon loading this plugin - kX Mixer crashed... And would crash when I try restarting kX Mixer... so, to avoid re-installing everything kX... I tracked down the kxfxloudness.kxl file in windows system32... and renamed the plugin to get kX mixer to stop crashing - and it worked. So, to retest this, I renamed he kxl file back (all I really did was add '.old' ...

I understand this is being discussed in other topics, but as this is an issue so close to my heart and, considering myself quite knowledgeable, I thought I'd start a direct topic, rather than just random complaints: this is the LOUDNESS WAR; not something that is just Metallica's fault, this is a problem that plauges our society and destroys our music. Please note that I am not dissing ...

Hello, My name is Andrew Bright, and I am the head of the Speaker Solutions team at Nokia. The first reply you received is largely correct; loudness (e.g. for ringtones, or music played back over the internal loudspeaker) is a function of the speaker inside the phone, and the ringtone (or music) being played. Your, phone, the Nokia 6300, has one 11x15mm loudspeaker. Generally, this ...

Guelph byelection videos of police debate ouster http://video.google.ca/videoplay?doc...08546&h l=en-CA is the video taken by my guy on the outside of the hall. It does give some idea of the loudness. It is the only audio of me or video with the police. Rogers cut to break when the cops came onstage. It's not particularly clear but it does have the only pictures of me and the police ...
