Hi, I'm 26 years old, CIN 111 in May 09, had LLETZ treatment and am due for my 6 month smear next week. However since I've had the LLETZ treatment my periods have not been the same. Hi, I've been reading this helpful forum for a while but this is my first post. I had Lletz yesterday - a large, deep tissue (6mm deep) area removed as there were several abnormal areas that they wanted to remove, I was quite shocked at the size of the area removed - all the way around the centre of the cervix and the whole 'face' of the cervix, just the edges were normal. hi all i received a call from the hospital this morning saying my results were back from the lletz treatment,bareing in mind i only had this done on the 9th nov! and was told it would take 4 weeks to come back,!! well she said,the lab test came back as high grade cin 3!! they couldnt say 100% if all the area had been removed,so just an appointment for another colposcopy in 6 months?! thats all ...

Hi wondering if anyone can give me some advice. I had Sevaer abnormal cells from my smear. I was treated with LLETZ and results confirmed smal area of CIN 3 clear margins. All I have now is a follow up letter saying to attend for cytology not colposcopy do I not need colposcopy? Thanks Katy

Hi wondering if anyone can help me. I had a lletz treatment following a severe abnormal smear test.
