Hi, I want to install the lamda monitor, but my car has no O2 sensor and cat. I don't think the DME unit has no O2 sensor connection. So if I buy the monitor kit and wideband O2 sensor, is it just directly bolt on on the cross exhaust pipe and wiring up to the monitor directly? Any recommendation for the monitor?

started to wire my loom in and noticed the lamda plug was damaged so went and got another 1 thing i wanted to know the 1st wire on the left brown/blue trace goes into a black sheaf and this has an outer core as in the pic...do these have to be resoldered seperatly......?? hope this makes sense __________________

as title suggests. it is the wiring loom that sits on the gearbox, under the intercooler. and runs down the side to the propshaft.it connects the second lamda to the car loom. it is about 20-25 in long and has 6 wires NOT 4 because it is a dccd model all other sti and wrx models have 4 wires in the loom i don't want that. this is the reason it has to be from a hawkeye....

Hi Lads, Is there a way to check if the lamda sensor is faulty? I know a few months back it had to be replaced as my emissions were way over the NCT (Irish MOT) limit, also I noticed there was a smell of petrol fumes when I got out of the car. Hi, I just sold a full exhaust system to someone from my 98 UK Turbo 2000, and he says his lamda sensor is too small for the hole in the downpipe? His car is a 93 WRX. Is there a solution to this or is another downpipe needed? Cheers

Helping my son sort out his G60 conversion in a Golf GTI Mk3. The engine is up and running but a bit rough. Guys, What's the consensus for locating the sensor's boss on the exhaust system? On PET, the 964 turbo has the Lamda sensor located somewhere on the exhaust pipe the 'wastegate' is mounted. I've seen a couple of guys here position the sensor on the top of the turbo-muffler coupling (but it's particularly hot here and I've seen some relocate to the muffler's bottom pipe). Which is ...

You would need a bung welded in post turbo. Typically in the cat section of the exhaust, not the downpipe. The reason for this is that Wideband sensors are more sensitive to the heat and pressure that are in the crossover pipe. Mounted in the crossover pipe they have a short lifespan and lose accuracy.
