Is there a possible chance to have Steam to stop having those annoying L4D invites from my friends and strangers when I DONT own L4D cos I dont want to have those invites for no reason why I should play L4D where I haven't own it. I never like horror games.

Personally I think... yes. Instead of working on a not so good shooter - I think they should continue with the making of the third episode in the Half Life franchise. I've still seen people wanting another L4D game, I don't Do you?

so valve said that they would still support l4d after l4d2 launched but I have yet to seen any proof of that they could have realsed even a small patch by now fixing alot of the problems that have been plageing l4d1 ie voice spam, and the game end exploit that has been being abused since l4d2 came out

So I've been reading around on shaders and stuff on the Valve Dev wiki, and my thought was that, since I havn't found a cellshading effect shader yet, is it possible to modify the Glow effect in L4D to be somewhat like cellshading?

since i got win 7 when i play l4d i cannot use my microphone anymore but i can go with that.but the last problem i got is i am unable to add new map for campaign .usualy you just click on the vpk file and it does install by itself.not anymore i got ask what program i want to use for that .and also i installe full campaign but i can't get it work;i don't see them in the in-game add-on. someone ...

This kid I know works at Gamestop and offered me a pre-order special for L4D 2 for the PS3. I went to get it last week and he said it was out of stock and that they expected copies over the weekend. Never happened. I paid $70 in cash to get my copy and its still no where to be found. Feel like I've been had.

I'm sorry if this problem has already been addressed but the silouettes of the suvivors, special infected, and all the items like pills and guns are not highlighted in L4D as well as L4D2 for me. I've read somewhere that you can manually put these silhouettes into the game since the ones Valve has provided are of little help. I've tried this and they still dont show up. If anyone has ...

My map compiles with no problems, but when I run the game, I run for a few second, then the screen greys over (translucent) and the L4D closes, I have the debug console on at the time, but to no avail. Will the L4D GOTY activation key work with the standard version? My friend gave me a backup copy of his game, so I dont have to download it. Most people who are new to the L4D series will probably either buy L4D2 or both games. I can imagine that the remaining players will stay with L4D and become experts. That means when I feel like survival and don't have any friends online, I can just join a random team and still have a good game

I really don't think that L4D2 is as good as the first one... due to a SERIOUS amount of reasons.. it just seems rushed and unfinished, and really not made for versus play... The game is great for running through the campaign with friends and such, but it really blows ducks when u try it competetive... Guardian.
