I was just curious if anyone has ever painted anything that would be placed in the sw with Krylon Fusion acrylic. If so did you seal with 2 part epoxy? I've read about ppl using it in fw without sealant but nothing concerning use in sw. I want to paint some pvc that is an eyesore but there's no way I'm gonna experiment with my reef. Thanks to all that post HAPPY HOLIDAYS ! ! !...

So the hobby shop charges ~ $5-6 for a 3 oz. can of Flat Black Testors spray paint. While shopping at WalMart this evening is saw a 15 oz. can of Krylon Flat Black paint for the price of $3. Is there a real difference here? Is the Testors a thinner paint so as to not fill in the body lines? Is there a real tangible difference guys? Your thoughts?

Hey guys, I just bought an extra set of headlights and about to open them up so i can paint the housing black.. After looking through the threads it seems like Krylon Fusion and Plastidip are the most popular paints that are used to blackout the headlights.. But there seems to be mixed opinions on both of them... so... which one would be a better choice? (or is there some other ...

Which krylon paints are good for painting models and what do I need to do to use krylon safely on the models ? do I have to use any special primer ? I have always used model hobby spray paints, (no airbrush) But on my strict budget, I have to find less expensive paints. I model real space & some iwrin allen sci-fi and need some aluminum colors. The testors metallic silvers just don't cut it. does...

My wife called me from the store and asked me of she should pick up the paint I wanted for my AK project. I said sure pick me up a can of Krylon ULTRA flat black. I specified ULTRA flat black at least 5 times during the conversation. So of course she buys regular flat black. So my question is has anyone used the regular flat black on their rifles? How does it look? Or should I just ...

Can anyone who has used Krylon Fusion to make either a background or caves tell me if it needs to be sealed? I'm making some caves from PVC piping and using Krylon Fusion to make it look more like rock but I don't know if I need to use a sealer or not. Thanks

Does anyone use this and know the approximate drying time required? I am in a time crunch and would like to at least get one good coat on a dozen new decoys before I take them into the field. Thanks.

This is by far, My best and coolest collectable for SciFi. I have had it for years, put together from a model (vinyl model), but I decided to paint it. I used camo Krylon spray paint, just the dark brown, and desert tan colors. It's full size scale, and about 3 feet long! Here you go! My Alien Face Hugger! And here, the underneath part of it. Lisa doesn't like it...

Looking for a source for fluorescent green vinyl dye. SEM, VHT and Duplicolor do not offer a fluorescent green. Pretty sure I am not going to find anything, but figured it was worth a shot. Would rather not have to use Krylon or other plastic paints. Oh. No, it's not for a car. Just some random other stuff, that needs more wear resistance then what Krylon has to offer.

Hi, I'm pretty new to ATCs, and from what I understand, you're supposed to make them more permanent by using fixative. I bought some Krylon matte finish fixative spray at my local art supply store, but upon reading the directions ... it seems *so* highly toxic, and you need such good ventilation, and you can't touch the stuff for 2 hours, etc., etc., I'm a little leery about using it....

been reading post here for some time now and remembering reading about spray painting your pvc plumbing. If i recall correctly, krylon is the type of paint used that is reef safe? i just painted the background of my 210 a dark blue and my pvc is sticking out like a sore thumb. Anyway, if anyone knows what paint to use it would be apreciated. thanks

So I primered my body with Krylon red oxide, looks nice. I take the Aerocolor acrylic "ready to spray" paint out and pour some into the airbrush bottle. The directions say shake and spray, the paint looks to be the proper consistency. I set the regulator to 25 psi and away we go! I hits the body, and immediately does what water does on a nicely waxed car... pulls itself together in to big ...
