Hi everyone.. I am after some info about the Davos-Klosters resort in Switzerland... I have been offered a very attractive hosting job at a private chalet in Klosters for the season and am seriously considering the opportunity. I realise that Klosters itself is not a very big, nor a lively/party kind of place (infact it is kind of posh and exclusive at best?) - the reason I am ...

Hi - friends of mine are wanting to move over here for 2010 (for approx 1 year) and are looking for a house to rent. Preferably the Klosters/Davos area and a more farmhouse style, rather than in the villages would be preferred. Family of 5. Any suggestions/info would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance!

Klosters is certainly a lot different than Whistler and definitely has more class and charm. Love the skiing, food and everything. The only thing missing are the people to socialize with. I'm there at least three months of the year and wonder how you meet people in Klosters? Are there expat ski clubs? So far the only people I've met are at the ski shop I bought my gear from. Any ...

Quote: Sandgrounder Try a Migros sports department or, given your location is Klosters, any of the Intersports or other ski shops round by you will probably have a stock of them. Have looked seems they have only the boot binding type..Thanks

Quote: higgybaby Sorry, I singled out the woods actually under the Klosters cable car. It's all trees. My friend's done it with an instructor (the run ) and she's not a top skiier. Hope you told him he has to stay directly under the cable car! The rest of the area is a wildlife protection zone. Doesn't matter, ...

Every year on this little blue planet of ours is another great year. Always another adventure. This year it was our mega-trek through the Berner-Oberland. Click here to see that and our great time in the UK and my hometown of Klosters. OK, Rieko may not agree that the first day of the trek was great - something muttered about "Are you trying to kill me?" As for business, ...

Dearest Ina, I have seen your television show on many occasions. The Food Network is the absolute favorite of my maid Suzi. Sometimes we watch your show together as she cooks dinner. I don't really care for the other chefs on that network. They seem to be in a whole different class than you, my dear. Suzi sent for your "Paris" cookbook. Don"t you simply ADORE Pairs? Our place is in...
