My wife has picked a tile and edging that she likes for our Kitchen Counters and Island. The tile is 4"x4" ceramic and the plan is to install it over a 1 1/2" plywood counter topped with Ditra. I plan to use Grani Rapid to set both the Ditra and tile. And an Epoxy Grout. Most likely it will be white on white put I'm pushing for a gray or black grout joint. I have only done ...

What would be the best kind of TV for a kitchen counter. Something around 19". I'm not asking what is the best of the best set, more like which technology for the a clean, sharp picture. I'll be supplying it with a digital cable signal without a cable box of any sort. Actually my parents will be, it's for them. My mother unknowingly brought home a small Vizio HDTV for around $200 that ...

I am finding lots of a small black/dark brown crawling bugs, no wings on  my kitchen counters.  I cannot tell where they are coming from.  They are not fast and are cruncy.  At first I thought they looked like a large flea but they do not jump.  I have sprayed the counters with Raid Ant & Roach killer.  Most of the ones I find are dead but I am find alot of them daily.  And today I am find "live"...

Hi, I am new here so not too sure what I am doing but the 2 part Out of the Fire or whatever the name was Holmes on Homes had a beautiful kitchen counter ...the guide said it was episode 508 and it aired Nov. 6, 2009, and I tried to check the end to decipher where the countertop came from but no luck. Anyone have any ideas? Sally

I mean, who does that?! You don't have to be Monk for that to annoy you. And now Monk just lets her do it!! You see you have to cut out this nonsense from the start, once you let people sit on your kitchen counter, you're setting a dangerous precedent...you give these counter-sitters an inch and they take a mile.

They've had their Christmas baking stuff out for a few weeks and I've been watching for a train by itself. Nope nada, and I'm not going to the Kitchen Collection to look for one because I'd end up paying $5 for it there Besides, I get all sorts of other cookie cutters and that's just awesome. __________________

The use of epoxy grout is smart approach! In the pic,it's a failure waiting to happen, the sink cap will definately crack/break over time. I personally like slab material for countertops,as it's easier to maintain, and IMO,functions better. Years ago when I did mud counters, what we would do on the face of the sink rails,is use mastic. We were finding that if the entire cap ...

Yea, its laminate....for now. I needed to get the two french door units and that cut into what I could afford for the countertop. Paying for this all out of pocket, no credit cards, no loans. This is also why my radiant heat won't be hooked up to a heating source until next year. The metal plates are ThermoFin U from this place - http://www.radiantengineering.com/thermoFinFAQ.htm l ...
