Here is a scene that was left out in the 1933 horror classic King Kong, The lost spider pit scene. The censors thought it would be to much for the audience back then, its still pretty scarey even by todays standards. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PY0BGSi2T6U

I'm looking for a bigger version of this pic: http://www.hopeofthefuture.net/tmp/kingkonglightni ng.jpg Is there someone here who has it in bigger and better quality? And does someone know if there's also a pic of Kong alone in this pose (without the lightning and city)? DOES THE NOISE IN MY HEAD BOTHER YOU?

UPDATED Fri Aug 22 2008 12:50:08 Alot of Kong '33 fans were disappointed with Jackson's decision to make Kong a giant silverback gorilla rather than an upright ape-monster hybrid. The Kong story is hard enough to sell to a modern audience, so making it as realistic as possible is important. I have no problem getting lost in a movie and suspending my disbelief, but how could you...

I FINALLY watched the old B&W classic and WOW it was great! I have to say that even though the whole movie was really good, I preferred the romance part with Bruce Cabot and Fay Wray. There were some really sweet scenes between them, and even though I do LOVE Naomi Watts, she could have never matched Ms. Wray. Now, although this film was amazing, I also feel like the second remake (...

UPDATED Wed Jul 9 2008 00:23:13 I personally thought it was a very enjoyable movie. It was well-paced, and in many aspects it was far more realistic than Jackson's version. Kong having a tough time defeating one T-Rex certainly seems more believable than defeating 3 T-Rex's at the same time. You also have to give it credit for it's groundbreaking special effects, though I do ...

Okay, I have to write an essay on King Kong and how it exploits Natives and King Kong. So far, I have down that in the original (1933), African-Americans were feared by the white population.. and that King Kong is a symbol of uncivilized existence. What else can I say about how it exploits Natives, or King Kong? Any ideas? I've lost my creativeness for today. Help appreciated, thanks. ...
