On another thread regarding Vanagon theft, someone suggested adding a kill-switch to the "low-tension side" of the coil. Is this the terminal with one wire or the one with two wires? I'm looking at the diagram on page 97.71 and, like all Bentley wiring diagrams, it is utterly beyond me. THANKS!!!

Well my clutch safety switch went out on the firebird. Could i just run a toggle switch instead of the clutch switch? I figure if i have to buy a switch i might as well add a kill switch right? The clutch switch doesn't have enough power going through it to need a relay does it?

Ok, long story short I've broken my little hood activated kill switch for my autostart. Where can I get another one? I can't seem to find any online, does anyone known who sells them or should I just go to some of the shops around town that specialize in autostarts to see if one can be found?

anybody know a good way to hook up a kill switch somewhere on the mk3? on my old car you had to put the right blinker on before you could start the car. would be kool to have something like that again or just a hidden switch somewhere to prevent thieves considering im moving back to seattle

I'd like to install a kill switch for my car while I have the interior gutted. Everything is stripped right now and should be easy access and will give me a good opportunity to hide it or tuck it away. Any ideas? Co-worker suggested I install one into the negative wire of the fuel pump. I was thinking I could wire a switch into the fuel relay under the seat, but don't know which wire to put ...

I was wondering how most feel about this being standard or required on boats? I firm believer in pfd's at all times but my boat does not have a lanyard kill switch on it. This is a item I really need to add asap. I see it this way the pfd will save my life but the kill switch just might save somebody else from my runaway boat......

Remove all Advertisements Dont understand, installed a new kill switch had to splice a new wire because it got cut from the harness somehow and the new switch doesn't work. The black/white wires are connected together and the black/green wires are connected together. Any insight??

Re: 1998 gsxr 600 electric problem kill switch? I had a problem like this once with a friends bike and it turned out to be a bad kill switch. It would make a bad contact and kill the bike for a split second. Very random. John
