Hi there everyone, Just a quick question. 327 Chev in a holden panel van. When I got it, there was a switch under the dash to which stopped the ignition. I then had various problems with starting, and ended up bypassing the switch, wheich didn't make a difference to my starting problems anyway. So now I have all that sorted, I would like to wire it back up but stupid me, ...

Not too long ago I posted about my host company 'upgrading' php, and it completely changing the way I have to send out my email newsletters. I've found a way to make it work, but the script now runs even with the browser window closed. I monitor it by the script updating the database for each email that is sent out. However, I need to be able to stop the script whenever I ...

Has anyone done this around here? So ultimately what I want to do is set up a switch somewhere on the dash to kill all lights. Basically I'd turn the headlights to the off setting to turn off rear lights, dash lights and headlights, then with the switch I can turn off the brake lights and the DRL. It seems like a simple enough concept in my head, but I don't know too much about electrical...

so i put a kill switch on my OLP today. i wired it inline between the tone pot and input jack. i wired it inline what i presumed to be the hot (white core wire). i left the presumed ground wire (loose surrounding wire) connected. my theory was to just cut the hot signal when the switch was flipped, but i guess i screwed something up because with the switch on, the bass is dead silent. with the ...

The access time probably won't change at all, but if you touch a file its modification time will change. In the main loop of your continuous process you can just keep touching the file, then in your monitoring script you watch the modification time on that file to see how old it is. You don't want to touch that file in your modification script though.

actually, if you are still there I had another look, and it appears I got it all wrong. (although obviously the way above will work tho). On looking a bit harder, I found the original wire that was interupted. (I had bridged the gap by removing the switch, and running a wire between the spade terminals). This wire, runs from the alternator to the starter, to I assume the solanoid....
