I thought it was usually on PBS, too, anon. They honored (it took place this past week and is taped for broadcast) Bruce Springsteen , Mel Brooks , Robert DeNiro , Dave Brubeck , and Grace Bumbrey . One of my favourite jazz musician is Dave Brubeck, a great pianist and intellectual. He and his group played jazz in many universities and had crowds of followers among the American youth. His hit: "Take Five" was the first jazz tune that sold a million records. It says a lot for the good taste that existed in those days.
