Christmas keepsake ornaments made from your LO's mobile. My MIL did this with my husband's mobile, and I thought it was just such a sweet idea, that I had to share it. She gave them to us. So now we have these cute little cow, horse, farmer and pig ornaments and they are the only thing left of his bedroom set. We never had a real mobile for Chloe, but there was one on her swing, with ...

I usually give S1 and S2 at least one book for Christmas, and I'm looking for suggestions. For S1, almost 17, I'd like to find something thought-provoking or inspirational. I'm thinking of Tracy Kidder's biography of Paul Farmer, Mountains Beyond Mountains. In the past, I've given him Jared Diamond's book, The Omnivore's Dilemma, Nickel and Dimed. For S2, I'd like to find a beautiful ...

I'm not sure how my mom thought of this (probably heard from someone), but I think it is the cutest idea. She brought me a sound recorder from Build-A-Bear. It's just a blank sound piece for the bears that you can customize. I took it to my Dr and recorded our little one's heartbeat. Now we can take it back and make a little bear for it, and we will have the heartbeat forever :-) Just thought...

Hi, OK, I admit it - I am a total noob when it comes to iPhoto and photo editing, etc. so this may be a dumb question but: I'm trying to compile a photo keepsake book. I have moved the photos into the designated spots and added text on those pages. But there are several gray pages in between one photo and the next. At one spot in the book, there are four gray pages. Is this ...

Basically I have several ticket stubs. I'd like to punch a hole in each and put a binder ring through them to have as a keepsake. Before I do this it would be nice to laminate/fortify the tickets somehow. Is there a way to do this without buying a machine or having to go to a special place for lamination? My only idea so far was to coat them with Mod Podge on both sides. Does ...

I found this frame I wanted to get DH for his birthday from Travis. It's the "Walking with Daddy" photo keepsake. I'd have to order it online, but Idk if I want to do that and if I'd have time (his birthday is the 28th and with the holidays I'm just not so sure). I wonder if there is a way I could make a frame similar to it. Would it be illegal to take the poem and make my own frame?

I am considering buying a 50th anniversary Blackhawk 357 (priced new at $359.. is this good?) just because.............(not as a keepsake but to shoot). I have never fired one but I recently bought a GP100 (4") which I love. I know the Blackhawk is SA but is the feel, balance and muzzle flip similar to the GP100 when shooting 357? The GP100 is the only large frame wheel gun I ...
