I have a Kimber CDP and a Colt Series 70 and I am thinking about a conversion kit. Would be nice if it worked well on both but more intersted in it being great on the Kimber. Any experiences out there to help me decide? Is the Kimber the best? Sounds like after reading some it is modeled after another brand very closely. Are Wilsons good? I recently bought a new Tactical Custom HD II and was amazed by the precision fit of the parts and the gun's accuracy. I didn't want the ambidexterous safety so I ordered a new TS from Kimber. It arrived in less than a week. I had all my files and stones ready to fit the new piece and was amazed, again, that it fit right in, perfectly, as delivered.

A buddy's full-sized Kimber is extremely accurate, but the POI is well off in windage and elevation. Unfortunately, we can't move the sights. I tried, and quit when I started to get chunks coming off my 1/4 inch brass punch. jbaker tried, and he bent his! I think I have a sight pusher at work, so we'll try that. In the meantime, anyone else ever run into this with a Kimber? Wondering ...

I had a Kimber Pro CDP II that I bought (new) about a year ago. I broke it in and it was pretty good little shooter, it would feed ball ammo fairly well but would on occasion FTF. It did not perform well with defense ammo. I took it to the local gunsmith and requested that he polish the ramp and do a “reliability tune-up”. Hi guys, I need an advice: I can get quickly a Kimber royal II with fixed sights, or I can wait 6 months in order to get a target II with adjustable sights. The Royal has a better finish, but I'm a lit bit worried about the fixed sights. Is there a counter aim to do, is it easy to adjust the right handload in order to have the proper aim point? As I will shoot bast bullet in it, I would like to know if the Kimber barrels for .45ACP have spiral grooves or hexagonal grooves (like Glock). If it is hexagonal, no way to shoot cast bullets! Thanks!

Hi, Im new here but wanted to give a fair warning on the kimber pro sis! I bought this gun brand new about 7 months, first day at the range, it jammed right away!! Few people working at the range said give time to break in, aleast 500 rounds. A gun that cost over 1400.00 shouldnt need anything, right ?
