I am considering converting to a tubular K member or, at the very least, installing some new A arms. Will the tubular A arms work with the stock K member? I have looked at 3 different brands of k-members. QA-1, Maxium, and UPR. Besides the name on the product and the $$. Are there any benefits to going with one brand over the other? Maxium runs about $650 w/o the lower control arms or the coil over set up. I have given my self a 3 day buffer for removing and installing: Kooks headers, K-member, new koni shocks, front coilovers, new rear springs, front and rear bump steer, front cc plates.....wish me luckkkk

located in vallejo, removing my umi k ; going with a BMR turbo k $300 if you need help installing, ive got a lift and will do it for another $100 if youre not familiar with my car, the k member has MAYBE IF NOT LESS THAN 2000 miles if that as i rarely drive it and im always changing something thanks steve

Anyone on here running a UPR tubular K member on there Cobra/GT? Going by the maximum motorsports site a front coil over spring(wheel rate) is rated at 25% of the stock location spring rate. Therefore a coilover 175# wheel rate will be a 700# spring rate as I read it. Which is inline with my 660# springs I already have in there. I'm very confused on what to do here. I have been upgrading my suspension in stages and I'm not sure on this K-member thing. Whats on the car: H&R(red) race springs in rear only. Aftermarket upper and lower control arms MM panhard bar MM full length sfc's (welded) Not installed yet...

Just call PA and tell them how you want it built and they will do it, You have to watch out though because some of the K members on the market are Chinese and the quality shows. PA is by far the nicest K member I have seen!

What do you mean by the motor is crooked? There are alignment tabs on the motor mounts that should fit through holes on the k, at least the stock one is like that. Hit the top of the dipstick with a mallet. Don't hit it too hard, but you should jam it into the hole all the way. Then, give it a good schmear of silicone around the base to seal it.
