Haven't connected onto a UPS jumpseat in SDF before. I'm trying to get to BFI on Monday (11/9) afternoon flight. If I come in at the PAX terminal how much time do I need?

Just gave a "fin" to a gate agent as I was running down the jetway to get my jumpseat. These folks are overworked and underpaid IMO,, I just wanted a way to say "thanks" for they're extra effort in processing my request for a free ride. Maybe I won't get the dreaded "don't have the time..or there is already one ahead of you..or,,sorry this flight is weight restricted.." response next time. I ...

I am travelling with FR9312 from Torp to Pisa on Saturday. This is my first flight with Ryanair, and I was wondering how their jumpseat policy is. Should i send them a e-mail to ask first, or just ask the FA while boarding? Please excuse my English, i am a non-native speaker. Nikky

Hi guys, does anybody know if they could help me obtaining a jumpseat on my flight back to Port Elizabeth on my way back to 43 Air School in Port Alfred after a visit back home. I got a jumpseat on my 1time flight on the way here because I knew the captain. Not sure what Kulula crews are like in this regard. The details are as follows: Flight number: MN755 Departs: FACT at 11:50 ...

Guys - I have an '07 XL. I just bought a jumpseat with armrest storage (thanks, Sniper!) to replace the one I have that doesn't have storage. Because the replacement seat is cloth and my existing seats are vinyl, I'd like to try swapping out just the fold-down armrest to keep the mis-matching to a minimum. Have any of you made this swap? How hard is this ...

Recently there was a mainline pilot requesting jumpseat on Piedmont Airlines and ran into a "buzzsaw" from the flight crew. Cold shoulder. No handshake, but allowed to ride. Apparently they were angry that mainline US MANAGEMENT engaged in a slot transaction with DAL that has negatively affected them. Dudes, don't punish the ground troops over what the generals decide....

Trying to go to Europe via Reykjavik, Iceland and spend three days each way in Reykjavik. Can any Iceland Air pilot tell if a US [airline] pilot can jump-seat out of Seattle or Minneapolis to Europe via Reykjavik? Thanks! P.S. What would be the proper ‘Forum’ to post this on?

When I took the jumpseat out of my truck I went ahead and took out the middle seat belt assembly as well. I'm wanting to replace the trim piece that sticks out for the seat belt assembly with this piece that doesn't stick out and just sits flush against the floor. I've searched ebay and craigslist and can't find it anywhere. I happened to find a picture of one on a ...

I think this is where it's very vague....Some people list twice and the JS listing is cancelled and they are cleared into the SA3 seat. Some people use the JS listing and then don't double book an SA3 and are cleared into a seat. I honestly don't have an answer for the drinking thing. But If i get a boarding pass instead of a jumpseat authorization i'm not stopping by the pit to say...

tailstrikecharles: "Perhaps you defended this behaviour yourself by endorsing it with your acquiesence". I note that you and I are of a similar age so it is important to me that I respond to your posting otherwise I simply would not bother to reply. How much experience do you actually have of deadheading on the jump seat of US registered aircraft? How much experience do you ...

Quote: I guess thats why you have to spend 4 years in the jumpseat. i would think ex-cadets start their CX career in the jumpseat because of their lack of jet experience, not necessarily because they used to be cadet pilots. anyhow, i agree that the CX cadet program is one of the most generous programs in the world, at least training-wise. i ...
