Haven't connected onto a UPS jumpseat in SDF before. I'm trying to get to BFI on Monday (11/9) afternoon flight. If I come in at the PAX terminal how much time do I need?

Just gave a "fin" to a gate agent as I was running down the jetway to get my jumpseat. These folks are overworked and underpaid IMO,, I just wanted a way to say "thanks" for they're extra effort in processing my request for a free ride. Maybe I won't get the dreaded "don't have the time..or there is already one ahead of you..or,,sorry this flight is weight restricted.." response next time. I ...

I am travelling with FR9312 from Torp to Pisa on Saturday. This is my first flight with Ryanair, and I was wondering how their jumpseat policy is. Should i send them a e-mail to ask first, or just ask the FA while boarding? Please excuse my English, i am a non-native speaker. Nikky

Hi guys, does anybody know if they could help me obtaining a jumpseat on my flight back to Port Elizabeth on my way back to 43 Air School in Port Alfred after a visit back home. I got a jumpseat on my 1time flight on the way here because I knew the captain. Not sure what Kulula crews are like in this regard. The details are as follows: Flight number: MN755 Departs: FACT at 11:50 ...

Guys - I have an '07 XL. I just bought a jumpseat with armrest storage (thanks, Sniper!) to replace the one I have that doesn't have storage. Because the replacement seat is cloth and my existing seats are vinyl, I'd like to try swapping out just the fold-down armrest to keep the mis-matching to a minimum. Have any of you made this swap? How hard is this ...

Has anyone had any success jumpseating in the golden triangle? Once I get to Ho Chi Minh City I'm thinking about Siem Riep and back. Additionally, are Australian carriers jumpseat friendly?

Thanks for the info. Sounds a lot like what I'm dealing with now except with bigger planes and farther away cities. So is 60 hours of pay pretty much normal? (just trying to figure out how big the pay cut would be since avg pay for me right now is around 80ish hours per month) Another question I just thought of is do you guys get to keep ...

Re: Creative places to put subs??? build a box and center counsel. you could have one sub like under the ashtray, and a second, (if wanted) somewhere in the counsel. (or in place of the jumpseat)

Quoting TPA36R ( Reply 11 ): So do tell, were you in the jumpseat? Co Pilot? Until then, dont be so certain as to what happen because you weren't there! Let the investigation do its work. This isn't a crash, so the whole monday morning qb stuff really won't get you far. He obviously wasn't there, so obviously it was a opinion. There's no need to beat up on people for ...

OAIFA, it sure is nice of you to help us all out. Then we know our information is correct. Do you have many FAs who commute since you have jumpseat agreements? Are the 19 days of reserve all in a row and then you're off the rest of the month? Happy Thanksgiving to you too!

Well the Two Type S's are a nice option becuase Ill like the way they look forward facing. On the other hand I might try a 10 or 12" Type R in the jumpseat facing outwards. I know somone who had a page on Geocities(Sonoma Page) did the sub lower and side firing and it look better than the other jumpseat enclosures that were up higher. I dunno quite what I want yet but I appreciate the input.

Photos I took of the runway at George Charles airport in St. Lucia...I was sitting in de jumpseat. I think that runway was only 3,000 feet long...shorter than the one in that Nepal youtube video posted above. I cannot imagine trying to do a go-around at this airport if you are fully loaded....you would probably be able to slap five wit de people living in the houses on top dat mountain....
