Yesterday, I started jumping rope, doing Tabata intervals. Near the end, my head started to ache really bad, and I thought nothing of it. Today, I started, and after a minute, my head was on fire with pain. Now I can usually deal with it, but my head felt as if it was being split. After I stopped jumping rope, It appeared to get better. My questions are, what is causing this? Should I take a day ...

Anyone jump rope for cardio? I have alwasy heard that Jumprope is an awesome way to burn claories, and is a tremendouse cardiovascular workout, but I don't have much experience with it, nor do I no where to start. I think I am going to go to Dicks and pick up a nice jump rope and start, but I'd like to get some input first. Anyone jump rope on a regular bassis?

I'm thinking about trying it, but I've never really jumped rope before..LOL.. How long does one jump for, or what is a reasonable time to jump before resting, I should ask?? Thanks!

I'm 160 pounds, pretty skinny, just got a little fat on the belly. Is a 25 minute jumprope session everyday before I eat breakfast good enough? I don't just do singles, I also do doubles and triples. How much weight can I lose a week (no exact answer needed, lol)

Try doing 100-200 consecutive skips on the rope, per-day, for about a week straight. Then try to run. There's a good chance you'll notice an improvement. I was surprised.

It is very hard for me to get in my neccessary cardio. I use to run long distances and I stopped after the doctor told me my knees would need surgery if I contiuned. I can't stand treadmills, never did and never will.. In addition, for my height, weight and age (139 lbs/6'3"/69 years old)I am a good 30lbs or more underweight! However, I am healthy. It is common knowledge that cardio is a ...
