What can you guys tell me about hock joints fusing together? Specifically the inside joint. Had Tag's hocks done Monday and the vet said one of his inside hock joint is starting to fuse. He said it's not something career ending, and it wont cause pain and wont really hurt his range of motion, but we will have to keep an eye on the outside joint because it does put a little more strain on it. ...

Wiz, I don't think those were the blades. From what I understand, each blade is 11 sections. That is why they are fabricating them in a controlled environment. Once fabricated there will be 3 sections with only 2 joints per blade to be fabricated on site. The length most likely determined the 3 sec's as they would be to long and wide to fit on any flat bed.

Ok, so after I replaced the front u-joints and center bearing I now have a vibration when accelerating between 30-50. It’s smooth on light accelerating and when I let off the gas. Coincidence that the rear just magically started vibrating on the same day I rebuild the front. I have been through other threads but I don’t see anyone else who has had a smooth ride before the rebuild...

was working on a friends 03 superduty and we are doing the dynatrac knuckles, 35 spline outers and high steer. We are using stock inner shafts with the new outers. We couldnt do anything to get the stupid u joints out of the stock shafts. whats the trick? we used heat and a whole lot of BFH already.

The steering joint at the passenger end of my steering bar failed last night. The tire/alignment shop says that my ball joints are bad too. They are quoting me a worst case scinario of $2600. So I got the dreaded death wobble. I had the dealership review many of the common causes while I watched on. When the tech was showing me the play in the Upper and Lower ball joints they moved a little bit - perhaps 1-2 mm. He said this was normal (this was the tech not the manager or service guy. How do you install U-joints? Ok so I have done just about everything else on my truck, but I feel like a total noob cuz I dont know how to install new U joints in the rear drive shaft. I have the 3 spicer joints, does anyone have step by step instructions? Preferably with pics? Thanks in advance guys ...

what halfshaft cv joints for my da? well my da came with a swaped b16a2 but i notice the cv was loose so i took it off to check it out and well the shaft between the boots is too short. now i wanna know what half shaft and cv joints should i get. a buddy of mine is running a b20 half shaft with civic cv joints on his da with a sir swap....

I am about to replace all the ball joints, tie rod ends, and sway bar bushings. I'm going to replace the CV and shafts too. Is there a test that would tell me if the bearings need replacing too? Would you recommend replacing just the bearings or the bearing and hub assemblies?

How long should ball joints last, generally? My original ones are shot at 82K and I'm sure they've been gone for probably the last 10K. Front tires wore really bad on outside. Are Ford ball joints any good? Or are they junk? Thinking of having them do them for quote of $750. edit: What causes ball joint failure? What can be done to extend joint life...........on not greasable joints

Lately like in the past 3 months, it seems ive had alot more calls for clogged sewer lines in homes built in the early 70's with pvc pipe and they have all had roots in the joints, does this mean the pvc pipe joints are starting to fail (more future work) or just dumb luck whats your opinion ?
