I love this author. She's just amazing. Her writing style is so entertaining. I was pissed off when Hollywood took the twist out of My Sister's Keeper. Assholes. Anyways, I'm reading Handle With Care-- started yesterday at work and barely talked to anyone during both of my breaks lol

I love to read but am very picky about books. I LOVE Jodi Picoult. Not because of the subject of her books but the style. They're very fast-paced and interesting. If anyone who likes her or has read her books knows of any authors, series, or books that are similar, please let me know (:

I asked a question today on feedback on chapter one of my novel. One of the answerer's told me my writing style was similar to Jodi Picoult's. I'm only thirteen and I've been writing for a really short time (4 years) so I doubt this. BUT - is this a good thing or a bad thing? I usually only read JK Rowling and Darren Shan (I know, I should read more..) so I want to know. Can someone explain her ...

Jodi Picoult has written a fair few number of novels in the last few years. What are other Dopers' opinion of her? What is your favourite Picoult book? Up until recently I really began to dislike her books. They all began to feel too similar and actually became rather boring. However, I am reading 'Change of Heart' at the moment and am enjoying it so much. I may have a renewed liking for her...

I really enjoyed this book and am surprised that it wasn't a big seller when it came out (or maybe it was, but I don't remember seeing it as one). It's very emotional and there's a detailed explanation on how to make meth... I liked all the Native American references too. I find the culture fascinating. Description: Delia Hopkins has led a charmed life. Raised in rural New Hampshire ...

Chris and Emily used to pass notes between their houses via a String and Can when they were children. The last letter that Emily wrote, and tried to pass got stuck in the treee, and Chris never recieved it. So he goes back to find it, but due to age, the ink has fadded and the page is blank. I think it was Chris's way of trying to have a piece of Emily after she was gone. ?

I'd read and enjoyed a few of her books, but My Sister's Keeper totally kicked my ass. I hadn't realized it was her shtick to do the surprise twist at the end, and was completely absorbed in MS'sK to the point where I ran away to lock myself in the bath when I got close enough to finish the book. The death at the end felt like such a kick in the teeth, just so unnecessarily emotionally ...

I live in England and up until a year ago, I had to order some of Jodi's books online because they hadn't been released here. I own all of them, but so far haven't got round to reading: Handle With Care, Picture Perfect and Harvesting the Heart. Thus, I've read My Sister's Keeper The Pact The Tenth Circle Vanishing Acts Perfect Match Plain Truth Salem Falls Keeping Faith Mercy...
