I think it is particularly awesome just how well jiu jitsu translates to the handicap of a blind person. On the mat, with grips, a blind person suffers a very small handicap from being blind, which is awesome. There are few, very few, physical sports that can be practiced by a blind person so independently and completely.

In Ju Jitsu, you learn both takedowns and submissions. I'm not sure in wrestling if the use of the legs are allowed, but if it isn't, then ju jitsu is your way to go.
