I'm experiencing some distortion at high frequencies and I was wondering if it could be related to impedance. I'm using a Technics SU-V76 and have noticed the distortion when playing though my Jamo 7.4's and B&W 202i's. I'm a total newb, but could this be because these speakers are 6 ohm and the receiver is 8 ohm?

In general, I'm not a fan of Sony receivers at all. You can get more features and a better built amp at the same price elsewhere. I'm a big fan of Pioneer and Yamaha both, usually hard to go wrong with either of them. Mike

I think most electronics manufacturers tend to not produce the same level of gear as dedicated speaker manufacturers, so I don't look at Yamaha as closely as I would others. Yet, I think Jamo is similar to many other speaker only manufacturers for similar price. I'm a big fan of Audioholics for the same reason I like these forums.
