Hi, First time poster, hello! Just after some advice if anyone can help. I've had some trouble with my Punto HGT (2005, 1.9 JTD model). Recently it has developed trouble selecting reverse, the car will engage reverse with the clutch depressed, but when I let the clutch out I can hear the gear grinding, and the car jumps out of gear into neutral, even if I hold the gear in reverse....

Hi all, I am going to start doing some things to my recently acquired sport wagon and was looking for a bit of info or maybe getting pointed in the right direction as where to get some parts. It is a 01 156 2.4 jtd wagon, i was considering if it was do-able to face lift it using 04 parts but am wondering what i need to do it. Would i need wings, headlamps, bonnet, bumper or just bonnet ...

Help, I have a fiat multipla JTD on my driveway with 64000 miles on the clock, and it has a problem. Often, when I start it up, the engine will not respond to the throttle, or responds very slowly, until there is a sudden surge of power. Also, if its been on for a short time ~3 minutes it will do this at the traffic lights when coming out of idleing. Any suggestions - could this be a ...

Hi, I've got a Mk2 Punto JTD 1.9 and i need to fit a new MAF sensor but I'm being asked for a part number. It originally had a Bosch unit fitted then an after market (rubbish) part was fitted so I don't have the original part number. I'm being told there is more than one part number but i can't see there being more than one type of sensor made by Bosch for a particular model engine?...

Preferably Sport or Ti model but will consider Veloce. Must be 04 plate or newer and have no more than average mileage. Must be in excellent condition with full service history.

I've just installed a Racechip tuning box to my Australian market Punto 1.3JTD. It was a very quick and simple operation. I discovered to my disappointment that the 129 Euro tuning box does not appear to have any adjustments on it. For that it appears you need to buy the 229 Euro Racechip Pro. I'll confirm that later (awaiting a response from Racechip) but I unscrewed the box and it was all one ...

hi all been looking on the forum for advice and help on getting a Stilo and have found all the topics on here very helpful, but do just have a couple of Q's extra. the car i am looking at is a 2002 JTD dynamic. the garage has it for sale at £3495, it does have a FSH but not from a fiat dealership and 63k on the clock. does this sound a bit overpriced? there is only 1 key with...

I've got a stilo jtd and have the "pre heat" fault message, so it needs the glow plugs changing. But has anybody changed them their selves? because I can't find any info and I dont want to pay anyone to do it for me. My dad is a heavygoods mechanic and I have access to a workshop with all the tools, so surely we could do it. Can anybody enlighten me?

good, thank you for the reply. I can see the last time the turbo was replaced, the mechanic musty have sheared the Allen key nut. i think he cut the pope and then welded it back in place, as that is where i cut it (though the weld). i would much rather use a silicon pipe... will just wait for the turbo to some back now and see how i get on....
