After a long, off road trip this weekend I set my suspension adjusters down for road driving yesterday and had the set screw pop out of the threads on me! Now would you 1) JB weld the set screw permanently in, 2) JB Weld the sides of the stripped hole and retap or 3) drill it out and place in a Helicoil? (if you say number 3, I want to borrow your helicoil set tool!!!) ...

Broken Sub Frame/ Jb Weld????

jb weld type stuff is there a jb weld type material that will withstand temperatures in the range of 2000 degrees, or will they just melt and puddle?

JB weld on a cracked head? found a cheap 300ex with a cracked head, but is "fixed" with JB weld and it works fine now. If the problem comes back, is it hard to change the head?

jb weld on egr holes? or thermactor?

i tried putting the tfs thermactor plugs and the threads in the heads are not good at all. I was wondering can i just use some jb weld in the holes. That would make it so much easier. And if i do have to use a bolt or a thermactor how far do i need to screw it in?

fixing stripped threads with jb weld

i stripped one of the pan screw hole threads in the case for the stator cover (lower left/forward hole); will jb weld hold up to 8 in-lb of torque? there isn't much meat there, so i don't know if an insert will work; i also don't want tap to a larger thread if i don't have to. thanks n

k well my axle bearing spun in the carier so now when I put the new bearing in there is alot of play. can I just throw some JB weld in there, lube an old bearing and slide it in to mold it, then take it out let set up and throw the new bearings in? I do have JB weld in my motor and its holding up perfectly, so i do have alot of faith in the stuff! any other opinions?...

Using JB Weld on car gas line

I know JB Weld will fix most anything except some plastics and holds well on metals. I have heard it being used on gas tanks and never heard of it leaking after it was used. However, someone told me that modern gas will eat thru it. I dont see where modern gas is much different than the gas was 10 years ago. I guess most of it has some alcohol in it, but will alcohol hurt the JB Weld?...
