You're right, a cleanser which contains salicyclic acid is too harsh to be used concurrently with your topical medication. I would use a bland cleanser (and moisturizer if necessary) such as Cetaphil or La Roche-Posay. Eloise.

Hi, I'm wondering what would be a good facial cleanser to use while I'm treating my skin with Isotrexin (isotretinoin 0.05% + erthromycin 2.00%). If someone else who has used a similar gel could let me know what face wash you used, I'd really appreciate it! Also has anyone here used a salicylic acid face wash at the same time as one of these gels? I was recommended the Neutrogina 2-in-1 ...

Well I tried the 'Neutrogina 2-in-1 visibly clear wash' and I wouldn't recommend it! After using it twice a day for just two days my skin had got noticeably worse - I would say I had roughly twice as many spots as before I started using it. Seems salicylic acid and a retonoid cream is just a bit too rough for my skin. Thought I would mention it in case someone else was wondering the same ...

I am using bp in the morning followed by sunblock and then makeup. In the night i use isotrexin gel. I have some terproline but im not sure when to use it cos i have to use so much other stuff on my face. Will using terproline dilute the bp and make it ineffective? are terproline and bp contraindicated in any way to be used together? If its ok to use terproline as well as the other stuff, ...

Hello there, I'm writing to you from Italy. I must start as many other posts I've seen around here: " I just wish I had found this sooner! " I've had a bustling moderate acne in my teens, and I've been on my dermatologist's regimens since then. He used to prescribe me antibiotics (oral antibioâwhich I never took though and I'm glad I didn'tâand topical ones, which I applied as ...

What are you eating? Get rid of all soft drinks, pizza, maccas (junk food in general), eat salads and veges and drink 3-5 litres of WATER per day and they'll be gone in no time. Or take drugs as suggested above. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Isotretinoin QUOTE Isotretinoin (INN) (pronounced /ˌaɪsoʊtrɨˈtɪnɵʊɨn/[1]) is a medication used for the treatment of moderate to severe acne. ...

hello folks, does anyone else have a sweaty/oil face? it's rather strange that i don't sweat as bad in other parts of the body. it seems isolated to my face. as a result, i tend to have to wash my face very often or it'll look like i just done some exercise. i've had colleagues comment on this frequently. applying isotrexin, which dryes my skin, helps for a bit then the sweat/oil just...
