I'm sharing the SI information that I have found. I wrote this in order to explain SI, since there are a few ladies on JM taking it. Taking Soy Isoflavones may be beneficial to Ovulation! Taking it through out your cycle may or may not be such a good thing. It's recommended that a woman take SI for 5 days only and then stop! For example CD 2-6, 3-7, or 4-8. Ovulation could/should happen 10-24 ...

I was wondering if anyone has ever used soy isoflavones in place of clomid ? How long have you taken it before it worked? I am willing to try anything. DH and I can't really afford IVF or any other treatments. We really want a baby.

Where's the baby?: Soy Isoflavones - The Natural Clomid? Found this very interesting! Even though I am hoping the Maca is enough for me this cycle I just brought some Soy Isoflavones! I figured if my cycle goes short again it will be close to xmas and not a good time to run out and buy some so better to be prepared! Sounds pretty good! Though i am not sure WHEN to take it? Was it CD5-...

soy isoflavoneS REDUCE BREAST CANCER RECURRENCE RISK Regular readers of this column are already aware of the controversy surrounding soy isoflavone intake and breast cancer risk. As happens frequently in clinical research (unfortunately), contradictory research findings have made it difficult to understand the true relationship between dietary soy intake and breast cancer risk (if one ...

Can I start taking these later than the recommended CD 3-7? I have a longer cycle. It's usually 35 days, but lately, it's been 49 and 42 days since mc and I'm trying to get it shorter. What happens if I start taking the soy isoflavones now? I am currently on CD 14 with no indication of O anytime soon.

DH and I have been TTC for 7 months now. I have PCOS I'm currently only taking Metformin 1250mg every day. My doctor refuses to treat me further until I lose weight. (He's a real A-hole for many reasons and I'm going to look for a new doc. but there aren't many where I live). I've been reading a little about soy isoflavones and was wondering what, if anything you lovely ladies knew about ...

As long as you are bd'ing don't worry too much about it Jenn! Could be the Met snd things bringing your ovulation early? Or you might be one of these people who can ovulate twice? Simply Mama - I am so tempted to take soy now but have decided not to for the time being because I am breastfeeding. I have read that only the barest trace of isoflavones pass through your milk so I am not so concerned about that (isoflavones have been loosely linked to cancers and gender bending effects but as a result of very high consumption on a regular and on-going basis) but I don't want to...

Actually I have been reading a lot on soy stuff and they say the best way to get soy isoflavones is by drinking soy milk and eating soy products. They say the supplements are inconclusive in their benefits when it comes to balancing out estrogen. Good luck!
