I went to my 28 week appointment today and the baby has an irregular heartbeat. Her heart will beat 3-8 times then skip a beat. My midwife set me up for a Fetal ECG but I am terrified because of all the attention that arose during the appointment. Has anyone had a Fetal ECG? If so, what can I expect?

Hi, I'm 32 and have had irregular periods since I had my first one at 14!! No one can explain this, doctors dont look into it, they dont seem to be too worried... The only time I was ever regular is when I was on the pill... my cycle is like a range of 35-41 days. So say when I get it is like this June to July is 36 July to August 39 August to September 41 Sept to Oct 36 Oct to Nov 38 etc... is that regular or irregular? are you supposed to get it exactly the same # of days each time? like always X days ?
