Okay, So I was transferring some files over from one external to my Iomega external when my computer crashed and restarted. After restarting, I can no longer see my external hard drive. I do get the beep when I connect it, and it shows up in device manager. I have tried installing new drivers, but that did not work. Any suggestions ?

Bit frustrated to find after talking to Iomega that although my 500Gb USB2 external hard drive is covered under warranty - despite concerns that the serial number and waranty void stickers have worn off after prolonged travelling - i have to send the drive to the bloody Netherlands!! Even a 1.2-1.5Kg package is going to cost the best part of £15 to send. If Iomega had an address in the UK i ...

Has anyone had any experince with this device? I'm currently in the market for a good HD multimedia player. I was leaning more towards the WD HD multi media player, but the Iomega includes a 1TB HD as well as the recording capability. I want something capable of playing mostpopular AND not so poular (mkv, flv, FLAC etc.) movie and audio formats.(Not just the common DivX, Xvid, mp3 etc) ...

99% sure it's been more than a year, but still within the 2year manufacturers warranty. Almost resigned to having to pay to ship it there - just seems like a real crappy cost reduction for Iomega to get you to ship things abroad instead of them doing it.
