DD1 was born with inverted nipples. I knew there was no need to worry at that point, since my nipples were the ones that mattered when I was nursing her. But now she's most of the way through puberty and her nipples are still inverted. I'm pretty sure, but not positive, that her breasts are done growing. I know that her nipples may or may not evert when (hopefully not for several ...

I'm worried about breastfeeding because I have an inverted nipple. I know it's supposed to fix itself, but I just feel like breastfeeding is hard enough without this complication. Does anyone know anything about this, what I can do? Is it necessary for me to find a lactation consultant?

I just noticed one of my 91 year mom's nipples seems to be inverted, but I'm not sure. I know this can also be a sign of breast cancer. For those with experience with this, and who had one that inverted and it unfortunately turned out for the worst, was the nipple still able to come out again or protract? I'm just wondering if it makes any difference in it not being anything if it still comes out...

Hello Ladies, I am due first week of March and would like to breast feed again. I have one daughter whom I breastfed for about 5 months. I am anticipating one problem arising again. One of my nipples is inverted ( not fully). The problem I had when feeding my daughter was that she preferred to feed from my other- normal- breast - even though the inverted side was allowing milk to come ...

I plan to exclusively breastfeeding my baby. Only problem is my right nipple is a bit inverted, but it will come up with the touch. Does this mean I may have problem with breastfeeding? also, I haven't experienced any leaking from my breasts and I'm in my 36weeks and this is my first pregnancy. Thanks for any comment:) My baby due in December 20th, 2009

( No words of wisdom on the 1 symptom thing. Just wanted to know you have been read and say; You are doing the right thing in fully investigating this out. I don't envy you this long night ahead, as you know, the waiting..is the worse. Hopefully all will be just peachy, goodness knows there have been many many a woman gone through all the stress for a cyst to reveil itself. If you are ...

Hi, I'm expecting my first child in June, I'm 7 weeks right now. I plan to exclusively BF the first year of my child's life. I have 1 inverted nipple, I wanted to know if there's anything I can do right now to try to correct the problem? What can I do once my child is here if I'm still having problems with my inverted nipple? I was diagnosed with PCOS and it made it hard for us to get ...

I thought I was the only one and have been really self conscious of this all of my life. I have one nipple that is inverted. It won't pop out at all. But let me fill you in on how it got that way, or so I thought it got that way. My Mom was an avid knitter while I was growing up. One day, she asked my brother to bring her knitting to her and as he rounded the corner, so did it...

( RDH: I would definitely get it checked out. With IBC being a rare type of bc not all symptoms are known. I had no symptoms that are listed for IBC. Also ask your doctor if he/she has ever heard of IBC. You would be suprised how many doctors have never heard of this type of bc. Praying this is nothing. Hugs Laura , )

Exersize may help with a lot of this. There isn't much muscle in the breast area but strengthening and tightening all around will give more support and probably help. That isn't really a terribly rapid weight loss - 50 pounds in 11 months is less than 5 pounds a month. Don't let this deter you from continuing to lose. Why not talk with a le leche league coach? They deal with breast feeding ...

Those first 6 weeks are HARD! Great to hear you are supplementing at the breast. That will mean that baby continues to learn how to breastfeed, gets your milk and your SNS milk too and will start to gain faster. If you can keep your supply up, there will be a point most likely when baby gets big enough and strong enough to breastfeed as she needs to to gain well. Until then it sounds like ...
