Vitamin B12's primary functions are in the formation of red blood cells and the maintenence of a healthy nervous system. B12 is necessary for the rapid synthesis of DNA during cell division. This is especially important in tissues where cells are dividing rapidly, particularly the bone marrow tissues responsible for red blood cell formation. If B12 deficiency occurs, DNA production is disrupted ...

Simulating the effects of high caloric intake Here's a concept I think is worth exploring.. In a metabolism course, you learn that two opposing pathways do not operate simultaneously. This applies mainly to individual cells and tissues. However, globally, this idea is not as rigorously upheld-- for instance, you can have muscle cells with a positive nitrogen balance, meanwhile you...

While true, that assumes that the rebuilt CT26 you get will be as reliable as a kit with a new turbo of a much better design. That's simply not the case in my experience. What strikes you as a better deal? "Saving...

Replying to: B-12 Shots Did you ever check with your insurance company to find out if Nascobol is covered? It's the B12 nose spray. By spraying into the nose, you're still bypassing the damanged GI tract which is the reason that people with IBDs typically can't absorb B12 from food or oral supplements (that and in some the lack of intrinsic factor which also isn't required for the nose ...

A good rant about how banking works: Quote: To Emily. You and millions of others have been duped. You've been ripped off by the government who promised 'NO MORE BOOM AND BUST! and a banking system that creates bank credit out of thin air. It's called the fractional Reserve Banking system. Northern Rock lent 7 times more to unsuspecting businesses and ...

Ok - Doctor's are stumped. Here is what I've been told. I have HPB which is now controlled using an ace inhibitor/diuretic, edema, low red blood cell count, elevated protein in urine, very low IGF-I, weight gain, candida, intrinsic blocking factor, high pulse (over 100 on a daily basis), stomach upset daily. They've done all the gastro tests that can be done and they were ...

A few factors driving the selling: 1. All of this talk about Buffett becoming treasury secretary - everyone from John McCain to T Boone has brought this up recently- has shareholders nervous. It makes me nervous to hear those guys suggest Buffett should leave CIO of Berkshire to do some greater good for the country. WEB might just do that kind of thing, becaquse he is both a patriot...

First of all lets talk about ordinary language which is probably the closest thing to a miracle in the natural world. It's the major neurological manifestation of difference between ourselves and other animals and primates and it's not a physiological difference it's a difference in behavior. Language represents the most complex behavior ever observed in any animal and certainly it's the most ...
