Based upon the conclusions of this conversation: http://discussions.apple.com/thread.jspa?messageID =10730602#10730602 I'm exporting SmoothCammed clips as QT movies, and re-importing them. However, I'm having a hard time finding any export settings that don't result in it: Being interlaced backward, or The SmoothCam effect being left out in the exported video, or ...

After I import back from color, all my transitions are interlaced as well as my solid layovers. This video has some fake strobe effects in it. In WMV format on a windows machine it has some weird lines in it. Any help would be greatly appreciated. http://www.fly-byradio.com/musicgarden/mojiles/moj iles5.wmv

I'm recording a rtp stream provided by t-home in Germany. I want that VLC records the file without changing the properties, so I disable the transcoding. The signal I get schould be a Interlaced signal. The file I get is progressive video and there is an deinterlacing problem which is in line with the GoP-strukture. It is a 16-4 strukture. So every fourth picture is Ok. In the others the fields...

New HD monitor only has 1920x1080 interlaced option Hi, I just bought a new monitor during the cyber monday event. When it is hooked up to my mac throught DVI (DVI to HDMI converter) it only has 1920x1080 (interlace) in system preferences. It looks horrible in that setting, The other option would be 1600 x 900 which looks great, ...

Hi All, Something that has been baffling me is that despite all the efforts one can go to in de-interlacing to mitigate the loss of quality, why is it that some DVD players (i.e. my Toshiba one) play interlaced footage on a progressive screen very well without a hint of any interlacing artifacts thus making de-interlacing of the original material pointless! I'm baffled as to how it works and...

Not sure which forum this should be in, so I'll try here Is ABC1 interlaced..or does it depend/vary? I record stuff on my Topfield 5000 PVR and sometimes copy them over to a PC. The VideoReoDo s/w is then used to edit the .REC and save it as an .MPG file. As far as I know, none of the h/w or apps are de-interlacing...yet the final .MPG doesn't seem to be interlaced, at least by looking ...

Hi all, I have .MOD files that were recorded with a JVC GZ MG575 camera. In FCP 6.0.6 the video images appear to be interlaced. However the interlaced lines appear thicker than the standard interlaced lines I have seen in the past. The deinterlace filter has a moderate effect, however it does not solve the problem. Any help is greatly appreciated. Matt...

Hi! When I change the colors of a png file with my paint bucket and go to save it, it gives an option for interlaced or not. I'm using PSE. What does "interlaced" do for you? tia!

Up till now i have done three tv commercials but i am a bit unshure if i am getting the best videoformat from the client and if my workflow is ok. I would really need your help. I am getting interlaced Blackmagic uncompressed 10 bit 4.2.2 quicktime files with framerate 25 FPS and a size of 1024*576 I think that they are stretching the file from 4:3 but i am not shure. I then do ...

Hi! I'm doing a video with many different file formats and I'd say they're about half upper field first, half lower field. What is the best way to deinterlace such a video? I've been trying a few things, but almost always end up with interlaced lines. Thanks.

I am working with 72fps (23.98) RED footage in AE. I am trying to remap the footage, speeding up some of it but when exported, all the stuff that is sped up looks really choppy (like interlaced footage that has been deinterlaced.) This is a big project and relies on this footage looking good. Not sure what to do, anybody have any advice.

From the last thread... Can someone explain the signal path for a digital tv display? How is it different to an analogue one? For example, an analogue tv has rgb applied to the crt which is scanned at 50Hz, interlaced, 15625kHz. I had assumed that a digital tv simply has the pre-crt stuff replaced with digital, then down to rgb, followed by a tft display. I've wondered for some time ...

Correct. If you look at the first few lines of the D2V, you see this: d00 5 0 2048 0 1 1 90 a0 a0 a0 a0 a0 a0 a0 a0 a0 d00 5 0 34816 0 2 1 d2 f2 e2 f2 f2 e2 f2 f2 e2 f2 f2 e2 900 5 0 61440 0 2 1 72 72 d2 f2 f2 e2 900 5 0 73728 0 2 1 72 72 d2 f2 f2 e2 e2 You can see that the initial black portion is BFF while the video itself is TFF. If you choose to correct field order,...
