Just bought a tdi beetle from a dealer that got it as a non-running trade in... They said that the intake needed cleaned. So we went through everything, and found an unhooked fuel line, so we used a mity vac to reprime the lines, then cranked for like 2 minutes several times, and then bled fuel out of the injectors. I'm shocked in some of the prices for a intake for the 2.0t. 300 to 400 dollars for a intake, I'm sure that the prices will go down after awhile, but I got impatient so I went to Auto Zone and made a custom intake. I think some of the higher end intakes like the HKS or the Buschur might perform a little better. I made mine for about 60 bucks and I can tell the difference in performance for sure. ...

I have a set of 40/32 intake manifolds for MFI or carbs for sale. They'll probably fit most 2.0 to 2.7 liter engines. $300 plus shipping from Florida. Going to clean them up and bead blast them next week. Pictures after that.
