So I had my LVM freak out when I changed out a dying HD. I had a lot of inode issues, though fsck was able to repair them. The rest of the system appears in good shape, but the issues found were in the zimbra dir - sorry, didn't document issues in single user mode. Anyways, I attempted to re-install over the top of my current install hoping that any damaged files would be restored - it didn't...

Hi, I wanted to shrink my ext3 root partition which is an lvm2-drive. I first checked if the partition is suitable for on-line resizing with Code: Select all dumpe2fs -h /dev/mapper/vg1-root and it showed that the resize_inode flag is set. So I went forth and did: Code: Select all resize2fs /dev/mapper/vg1-root 20G resize2fs 1.41.3 (12-Oct-2008) Filesystem at /dev/mapper/vg1-root...

Hi! I run a usenet server . The newspool is 40% used , that's what clients get on connecting : Code: Unable to connect. The following error occurred: 400 No space (spool inodes) [innwatch:39] 195 lt 200 If i'm not wrong default options for filesystems are mostly to use 4k / inode. For a text only newsfs this isn't appropriate, as articles are in average under 3k. i'd create a...

Hi I have a read-only file system set up. Everything works fine however I know for a fact that some writes to my disk are still occuring (during the boot process). I now believe this is because the writes are to the EXT3 superblock which will still be written to even if the storage device is mounted readonly. Is there anyway to stop this? I have tried adding noatime to /etc/fstab to no ...

Hi, I am looking for a web hosting company (obviously reseller) in the Los Angeles, California area that offers the following: * MRTG * at least 10GB disk space * at least 30 to 40GB of bandwidth (the more the better) * no MySQL query limits * no file (inode) limits The rest is not that important, but obviously a good reputation is preferable. Any ideas?

Hmmm.... the initial install should have created it considering that is where all of the postfix binaries are stored, and without it the system obviously cant start. Yea try copying it from the backup I guess...

Inode, I don't think it's skin color motivating Powell. I think he's simply disillusioned by his former superiors in the Bush administration and wants to give "Change you can believe in" a shot. Ten I don't know what's in his heart. But he is blind to Obama's radicalism and that is so contrary to what we have known about Powell that I believe it can't be anything other than racially ...

Inode, liberals still won't throw that pedophile Scott Ritter under the bus: How is this pertinent to his comments on Afghanistan? Oh wait....it isn't but its the only way Rs can undermine his comments. Typical.

I am starting to understand why inode sees himself as centrist. Apparently, Arkansas has shifted sharply to the right since its Bill Clinton days. Poll: More Arkansans Trust Limbaugh Than Obama Eric Kleefeld | August 25, 2009, 11:54AM How much chance does health care reform have in Arkansas if Arkansans trust Rush Limbaugh more than Barack Obama? The new survey of Arkansas from ...
