I'm a big disease nerd, so I'd like to go to a school with a decent biology program that allows me to specialize in working with diseases. UCSD is my top choice right now, but I'm looking for some back ups. What other UC's have a good program?

Have any of you had to have a consult with an Infectious Disease doc? I work in a doctor's office now, but a little less than a year ago I worked in the main hospital for almost 2 years. I worked in the CT department where we probably saw every patient on the face of the earth. In between November of 2007 and 2008 I got exposed to someone with Tuberculosis. The only reason why I know that now...

UCSB and UCSD also have Molecular Biology programs, as do several CSUs: Fresno, Sacramento, Northridge, San Jose State, and Long Beach. U of AZ, U of WA, and Oregon State also have Bacteriology programs.
