I have developed a service in C that is launched from inetd when something comes on a specific port. When a connection is opened to the port a core dump is created in the same directory where the executable file is located. If you run the same service program from the command line everything is working perfect. This is running in a Solaris 8 zone/container on a Solaris 10 machine. ...

We would like to have input and help on how to resolve this issue. 1. To enable multi-user services since they are needed for scripts in /etc/rc2.d and multi-user-server is needed for scripts in /etc/rc3.d but we don't want inetd service to be enabled. I need a code review for this bug: 6713844 inetd core dump bugs with incorrect xml file It did turn out to be a double free bug. Well, err... My bad... You're right perry, many thanks. I got an issue in the script with and semi-colon i added... Now the SH script is ok. And is correctly executed at startup. He must be executed correctly before, but did not ran inetd because of syntaxes errors. Many and HUGE thanks. And btw thanks for the status.php page, didn't knew about it.
