Hello All On one of our production servers we have two instances of inetd as shown below. Also we have noticed vtsk (SunVTS diagnostics) running on the server $ ps -ef | grep inetd root 1263 1 0 Nov 28 ? 0:11 /usr/sbin/inetd -s root 14286 1 0 Nov 28 ? 0:00 /usr/sbin/inetd -s -t user123 12011 5206 0 08:55:21 pts/39 0:00 grep inetd...

I have developed a service in C that is launched from inetd when something comes on a specific port. When a connection is opened to the port a core dump is created in the same directory where the executable file is located. If you run the same service program from the command line everything is working perfect. This is running in a Solaris 8 zone/container on a Solaris 10 machine. ...

( Package: lintian Version: 2.2.17 Severity: normal Hi, The tag maintainer-script-needs-depends-on-update-inetd recommends to depend on either inet-superserver or update-inetd, when it fact the later is redundant \(a dependency on inet-superserver indirectly satisfies the update-inetd dependency\) And of course the tag would have to be renamed to ...

In SW13.0 install netcfg(?) didn't setup my new router-dsl connection so I again used pppoe-setup. After initial setup I installed wicd--wc I use in Arch and other linuxes--to keep things ...

I need a code review for this bug: 6713844 inetd core dump bugs with incorrect xml file It did turn out to be a double free bug. My webrev is here: http://cr.opensolaris.org/~jgmills/ws-6713844/ Without the fix, inetd would log one error message and then dump core. When it restarted, it did that repeatedly. The message looked like: Sep 9 11:39:21 ati inetd[100926]: [...

Hi Tux_Dude... Is there any "fool-proof" method to ascertain wether an application can open an Xterm using ssh tunelling...? I ask this because ASTK still does not pop up a calculation progress in xterm... Reviewing all that has been done... Quote: 2.
