Hi, Why is it that when I type information into Indesign it is able to find and identify misspelled words, but when I place some information into Indesign that has been originally typed in Word the Indesign does not identify any misspelled words? Is there a way to make Indesign check automatically for misspelled words regardless of how the text was placed in the software? Thanks Steve...

I've created several hyperlinks in an InDesign CS3 file, using the Hyperlinks panel. But when I export to PDF format, the hyperlinks don't work. Even the ones that start with http:// or www. don't work. Is that just the way it is? Or am I doing something wrong? Thanks, Ellen

I am working on a book in InDesign CS3, using the book palatte, and the book is in separate files of sections and chapters. I just found out that the printer wants this as one file. Is there any easy way to combine InDesign CS3 files without having to copy, paste, and reflow pages? I hope I'm clear on my question. Thank you, Marcy

Is the b8550 is a postscript printer compatable with mac? It seems as if it will only print cmyk if selected that way. I cannot select cmyk when printing out of InDesign, it will only let me print RGB. My profiles seem to be set right. Can anyone help!

Hi, I have a problem with Indesign CS4 6.0.4 on a MacBookPro under Snow Leopard 10.6.1. Indeed when I start Indesign is still running as normal. But if I want to create a document or open a new InDesign, it frezees and it keeps on showing that its working. Please help me !!!

I'm trying to switch from Quark to Indesign. While Indesign is more powerful and flexible, the use of two boxes for every picture (i.e. frame box + content box) and the need to toggle between them is driving me crazy. For picture boxes I like the quark way: one box, which you can move by clicking and dragging or nudging, and whose contents you can scale, and which you can border....

Hello, I have set all text in a text box to Align Right yet it is not cooperating. I know the trick of fixing the spaces if it is set to Align Left (add space before and decrease kerning, or drop cap), but I don’t know of a trick to fix this if set to the right. I would hope that I wouldn’t have to seperate each line into a seperate text box. Perhaps tabs? I must be overlooking something. ...
