so my dad drives an 03 chevy impala with just under 120K miles on it. lately when hes been driving it (and i tested it too, so it IS happening), mostly when he is taking off from a stop, the car will be in drive (automatic), but when you go to accelerate, the rpms will build up, then it will catch, and jerk, kinda like if you release the clutch to fast in a manual. does anybody know what this ...

Let's just say 2010 model. I'm not sure what to talk about. But what do you think? We do need a bigger car. One that can fit 3 across in the back. Yes, Impala is "old." I'm guessing sometimes old is better? GM should have gotten all the bugs out? Or do you think Malibu is a better choice?

Two choices. Mid level (large) family sedan. Chevy Impala LT - 3.5L V6 FWD. 211hp. Better MPG. More airbags. Dodge Charger SXT - 3.5L V6 RWD. 250hp. Cool looks. Some Benz guts. If you can only choose these two, which would you choose and why?

Last night on my way back from work a clear high-pitch metallic and pulsating noise started coming from the front of the motor when turning the defroster on. I recently bought a new waterpump for the F-body LT1 I am building, and because I am not running the water/oil oil cooler I opted for a B-body impala waterpump without the wateroutlet for the cooler. Maybe i am doing something wrong here, but I can't seem to get the waterpump to seat down on the engine. It'll get within about a 1/4", but I think it's hanging up on the spline shaft....

I'm trying to talk my dh into downsizing my vehicle. I currently have an 06 gmc envoy but I want either a chevy malibu or impala.
