Well after reading earlier posts on this subject, mine started doing the same. So tried the WD40 fix, and it worked, for a short time. Now its back, and WD40 wont cure it. So cant lock the dam thing. If I lock it on the key on the drivers door, will it unlock on the fob? Given all the issues on EKA codes, and other lock issues I just dont want to try it without advice. Plus today the ...

If I remove the key and then open the drivers door right after (i.e fairly fast) I still get the above warning message despite the fact the key has been removed. If I wait for a few seconds before opening the door I do not receive it. Does anybody know if this is the correct operation or if there is a delay that is adjustable? I have a 2000 s-class 420. I am unbale to aopen doors unless i use the key. then the key will not tun in the ignition. I have tried to reset useing the process in the handbook. this makes no difference. the central locking works as normal. It seems that the immobiliser is activated and i am therefore unable to start. Any Ideas?

Hi Please can someone help! I have Merc E240 Auto X-reg, but this morning I put the key in the ignition barrel and it did not respond. The battery in the key fob seems ok as I can open and close the doors using the key, and the battery is not dead either as the stereo will work and the lights power up fine. Thanks
