So I cleaned my TB and the Idle Speed Sensor and now I am getting the engine light to come on and a code P0507 to show up. I have messed with it for over a week now and the same thing. I took the sensor back out today and looked it over and replaced it. Everything is hoked up right and it is still throwing the P0507 code andthe car does seem to idle faster. What can be done to get it to run...

G'day everyone, The problem I'm going to share on this forum is something that has happened to me several times. I hope that my recommendations here will save Laguna mk1 owners time and money. First occurrence: when replacing battery, I've failed to supply power to ECU unit. This has reset my ECU. When driving the car after the repairs (one can hardly call replacement of the ...

Am I not remembering this correctly, or is my car not working right... I thought our cars had a fast-idle at cold start, which then kicked-down to normal idle after a minute or two. Am I wrong? It just doesn't feel right when I start it up in the 20 degree weather and it immediately idles between 500 and 800 RPM... I was expecting something like 1200-1500, then a ...

I have a 92 945 - B230FT. I want to adjust my idle speed and cannot find any adjustment screws to do it - I've heard of a knurled knob on the TB, which I can't find. I see a bunch of linkages which I could adjust, but I'll bet there is a better way - anyone? Sorry if this already exists - I tried searching. Thanks -Brian

Hard to believe that could cure it. Keep an eye on it. Removing the manifold is not too bad of a job if it becomes necessary.

Seahorse, thanks for the link to shop.evinrude.com. I've ordered both rollers and will replace them when they arrive. Hopefully that will cure the excessive play in the linkage. Mr.T, Thanks for your comment. The reason I'm adjusting the carburetor myself is because a mechanic did not do it properly. With the help of people on this messaage board I can do it better myself.

Cables. Start with the easy stuff. Check the routing - quick easy check is to turn the bars full lock either way and make sure idle doesn't change Make sure the cables aren't getting pinched anywhere. Look at the throttle grip - make sure it rotates freely and snaps back cleanly. With those easy steps out of the way look under the tank. Once you've eliminated visible ...

No adjustment. Something is wrong. First Take some catalyst safe carb cleaner and clean the throttle butterfly and passages in the throttle body. If your throttle disk looks painted (not metal-colored), make sure the cleaner is teflon safe as well. Look for leaks in air tubes. Check the tube from the mass airflow sensor up to the throttle body. Check the tubes from the ...
