I replaced the icemaker in my Whirlpool Side by side refrigerator. New one doesn't work. It allowed some water in it but won't break up and dispense. Should something have been done to it prior to installing?

My icemaker inside the fridge just stopped working. Jumping the icemaker showed it cycled properly. No water entered at the end. I performed an ohm test on the fill valve and got a reading of 220. I switched connectors and the valve operated when I activated the door water switch. I then removed the ice maker, took the cover off and proceeded to test each switch and the thermostat. Every ...

My line feeding my icemaker keeps freezing up. What could be causing this to happen? It freezes to the point it pushes the line out of the inlet on back of fridge and runs water inside of freeze

I've fixed many icemakers, shouldn't be a problem after removal. But don't have info on how to remove this type, and with the tube you can't get in to look at it. Three screws on the bottom of the icemaker, and three at the back for the auger already removed. So things are loose, but not quite coming out. Looks like the entire assembly with auger will slide out once the lower left...

Icemaker is cycling when turned on but not making ice. Don't see any ice on the inflow tubes. No leaks under refigerator from tubes or solinoid. Could solinoid be defective and not allowing water to flow. The water dispenser flows easily and strong, not slow. Have had trouble before with the icemaker making ice intermittently.

I HAVE ICEMAKER ISSUES!!! My icemaker is not making ice. 2 weeks ago it wouldn't dispense ice, but it produced ice. I fixed it a couple of times by thawing it out (once w/ hairdryer, once with hot water) and it worked fine for a couple of weeks. Now it is not producing ice! Help!

DH wants ice on the outside of the fridge. Since I have some fridge space limitations I am wondering about countertop ice makers. Any recommendations? I apologize if this has been asked before but my search for "icemaker" or "ice maker" did not return with anything. TIA

Have voltage, although not as high as at the wall plug, at the black and white wires of the internal ice-maker plug. But, get no voltage reading when probing test points L and N with module pluged in. Accordingly, jupming T and H does not run the motor (or start the cycle). The water inlet valve has been replaced and is operational; the heater test for resistance (L and H) above 32 degrees is ...

Hi Eric, I have the same problem as the problem posted at the link below. I've followed your recommendations through to the end, but since your exchange with the earlier person did not play all the way out, I'd like to find out what further items you'd suggest me to check. Â I've followed your recommendations there thoroughly without remedy. Â One additional item, my ice maker quit working ...

During a recent home remodel, we decided at the last moment to upgrade our appliances too. Up for sale is a nice side by side refridgerator, about 8 years old, that still works just fine. The ice maker works fine, and turns out ice quickly. Ice and water is dispensed through the front freezer door. White in color. Sold as is, load and go. Reply to email or call ...

Hi, I recently replaced the water inlet valve 2206123 because the icemaker wasn't getting water, and no the inlet wasn'frozen. Installed the new inlet valve and now when i press the indoor water lever water flows into the ice maker, which overflows if I don't stop. so I've solved the water to the icemaker but not in a good way, where should I look next? By the way the electrical connections are ...

We just purchased a new icemaker part # D7824706Q. Our water hose is in the back of our original icemaker, this model has a hole on the side for the water hose. It looks like it might be universal, the back looks like its scored for removal can we knock that out to make it a back feed for our hose? What do we do about the hole on the side? Will water run through it? When we ...

Come get them!!! We are getting a brand new fridge for Christmas. One of them is a huge white 25.6cuft side by side with an icemaker/water in the door. The icemaker needs a solenoid to make it work again. Everything else on it works perfect, water in the door works great, cools well, and it's just massive. The other one is an off-white top freezer that also...

The water inlet valve on the back of unit opens when the ice maker needs water. If the valve doesn't seal good because of sediment or wear it will continue to drip and when the water reaches the ice maker supply tube it will freeze. You can take the water line off the valve and watch to see if it drips. Replace the valves.

can't see the point of these websites if no one bothers to answer. And yet when I called the 1-877 number way back, when I ordered the piece, I was assured someone would help.... something to bear in mind for all new viewers.
