Wanted to give a quick update to our stay. We just got back from our vacation at the iberostar Paraiso Del Mar. We have stayed at numerous AI before but this one has been the best yet. The service was by far the best service we have ever recieved at any hotel or resort. The rooms, although not spacious, were comfortable. I usually hate going to a different county as the beds are so hard...

We are going to Iberostar Playa Alameda February 26th 2010. Having never been to Cuba before we haven't a clue what to expect. So for the past few weeks we have been reading TA reviews. But I have a million questions..... Is there anybody that has some experience with this resort that I can message or shall I just bombard this forum with my stupidity? lol ...

Heading to Iberostar and planning to golf but probably only once or twice. Are golf shoes mandatory? I don't mind golfing in my sneakers, but if the course requires that you wear them I will bring my own. Thanks!

My husband & I, and another couple, will celebrate our anniversaries next fall in Mexico. I've posted a couple of other questions and got lots of great info regarding the where to go. We've narrowed it down to 2 resorts: Secrets Maroma and Iberostar Grand Hotel Paraiso. We had pretty much decided on Iberostar Grand Hotel, but for 5 nights with everything included (airfare, hotel, ...

Looking at these 2 resorts for a get away in early January. Prices are about the same for both. I was leaning toward the Iberostar as it is not so long of a drive from the Cancun airport, but the rooms appear to be nicer at the Grand Sirenas. Has anyone out there been to both?

Hi, We finaly made our call and picked the Iberostar Varadero. I`m now looking at which room would provide the best view. We have booked a junior suite, in which blocks are they located? And which block would provide the best ocean view? thanks.

Will travel to Iberostar Varadero in January with 9 month old baby and was wondering if anybody knows which section of the hotel is the most quiet. I need something far away from disco and other late night entertainment as well as away from day noise from the pool. Appreciate any suggestions.

Just back from Punta Cana's Iberostar Bavaro and was duly impressed by the service, food, cleanliness and overall quality of the experience. We're now turning our sights to Jamaica over the summer and am interested to see if there are any tripadvisor members who have possibly been to both Iberostar properties (specifically, Montego Bay Rose Hall Suites and Punta Cana Bavaro) and might...

Pls help us decide. Couple in our late 30s. Planning a last min trip. We plan to golf. One resort has golf on site. Other has golf included in price. Which resort is nicer? Which has nicer beach? Rooms? I know Iberostar has adult only but we will not be able to get in there. Thanks!

I am planing a trip with my sister to DR and we are looking for an amazing beach (no rocks or seaweed) and a lot of activities on the resort. Out of any of the Iberostar, Riu, or Barcelo properties what would you recommend. We are open to any part of the island as long as they are beachfront. Thank You!!

Is it worth up grading to the junior suites? We have tried to find pictures of the rooms but can't seem to find any. Also some sites say there is a dress code at the restaurants others don't mention it. Is there a dress code and are they strict about it ? Thank You

I know this is a varadero forum and PP is in Holguin , but we are trying to decide between these 2 resorts. If some have been or know both could answer our questions it would be great to help us decide. Which one of the 2 has: - best beach? - best food? - nicest lush grounds? - best room view? - best pool for young kids? - most activities for ...

Hi, We'll be in Punta Cana next march and are willing to swim with sea lions and sharks. Wich of the above attractions do you recommend? We will stay at Iberostar Dominicana, so wich one is closer to this hotel? Thanks!

We're arriving at the IB Grand on Christmas Day for seven nights and I understand there's a small casino at the Dominicana. Has anyone travelled to the Tower Casino from the IB Grand complex for a night out? Is it close by the Iberostar complex and if so is it worth the trip in terms of slots that weren't operating when "Happy Days" was a number one TV show? Thanks!

If you book a "package"throug Apple, that includes the air fare. So....the price of the package goes down if airfare goes down and you get reimbursed the difference if you took out the insurance.

Cdrvt - We did the upgrade to the oceanfront room and I would say it would be worth it on your honeymoon. Having drinks on the patio at night was awesome and the view during the day was great. For those of you bringing kids it was probably our best experience in the Cancun area. Our kids are only 2 and 6 and they loved that place - great pool for kids.
