I just got a broken iPod Shuffle from a friend. Right now it will not show up my computer or charge. The light on it doesn't even turn on when it is plugged in. The cable is new and the usb works fine with my other iPod. I was wondering if anyone else has run into a similar problem and has some possible solutions....

Ipod shuffle My better half keeps talking of getting an ipod shuffle for when she's at the gym but I've heard a few rubbish reports about them as you have to use the apple earphones to control it. Have any of you got one and are they worth it? She's got a sony player at the moment but that's too bulky for the gym so the shuffle would be ideal. Any feedback would be appreciated...

I have downloaded the driver KB936824. I have tried resetting my shuffle. it has charge. I have uninstalled my itunes and reloaded the latest version. When i connect the ipod dock to the USB port, the orange light flashes thrice and after that nothing happens. The ipod does not appear in the Itunes software. I have a 1GB iPod Shuffle that I use for podcasts. When I plug it into iTunes, it is recognized, however no content can be synced. Furthermore, iTunes is always "Waiting for iPod" for everything it does. I have restored the iPod several times. I can't quite fathom why this happens, but it used to only happen 1 out of 10 times, and now it will not cooperate at all. What to do?...
